Texas Rangers 3B Mike Olt (eyes) is on the minor league disabled list with an eye issue. He will see another specialist in 10 to 14 days.

Fantasy Tip: Doctors have been unable to pinpoint the problems with Olt's eyes, so hopefully he'll have a resolution in two weeks at the most. For now, he'll continue to work out with Triple-A Round Rock. Olt's vision problems probably have something to do with his poor start to the season.

Texas Rangers 3B Mike Olt (eyes) has been having vision problems and will visit with a specialist Tuesday, April 30.

Fantasy Tip: Olt is the team's top hitting prospect other than Jurickson Profar, but he's hitting only .139 to start the year with Triple-A Round Rock. His vision problems may very well be the reason for his slow start. Don't expect the Rangers to recall him anytime soon.

Texas Rangers 1B Mike Olt is hitting .102 with 24 strikeouts in 49 at-bats at Triple-A Round Rock.

Fantasy Tip: That's certainly an ugly start, but Olt should settle in. He was the subject of persistent trade rumors in the offseason, and there's no rush to bring him up this season. If his struggles continue into May, Texas may have a problem.

Texas Rangers 3B Mike Olt was sent down so that he can get more repetitions at Triple-A Round Rock to start the year. Olt will see time at both third base and the outfield at Round Rock. Olt hit only .194 with two home runs and five RBIs in spring camp.

Fantasy Tip: Olt will increase his chances of earning a promotion if he continues to play well defensively in the outfield. He can also play some first base, too, so he'll have plenty of avenues for PT if injuries arise at the major league level.
