Chicago White Sox SP Chris Sale apparently talked the coaching staff into moving him back into the starting rotation after they moved him into the closer's role last week. Sale dealt with tenderness in his elbow, which was another reason for the move, but he knew it was just a minor setback. After Sale's MRI came up "pristine," he requested a meeting with general manager Kenny Williams to argue his case to return as a starter. "You are kind of walking on eggshells, but you want to get your point across. I didn't want to disrespect him. It's not going to get anybody anywhere. At the end of the day, he is who he is and he's done wonders for me so far and I didn't want to burn that bridge or cross any lines. But I definitely wanted to let him know I felt I could do this," Sale said.

BB Abbott, agent for Chicago White Sox RP Chris Sale (elbow), said he is concerned with the way the team has been treating Sale this season. "In short, yes I am extremely concerned about the way the White Sox have approached this entire situation with Chris and his future," Abbott said. "It is his future, isn't it?" Sale began the season as a starter but was moved to the bullpen earlier this month. His role is expected to be solidified once the team receives the results of the MRI.
