Updating a previous report, the Kansas City Royals officially signed SS Christian Colon, their first-round pick, to an undisclosed deal Friday, June 25, according to The Kansas City Star. Colon will be assigned to Single-A Wilmington.

The Kansas City Royals reached a tentative agreement with SS Christian Colon, their first-round pick, Wednesday, June 23, according to The Kansas City Star's Bob Dutton. Colon is believed to have signed for somewhere around $2.8 million.
