The Tampa Bay Rays have the structure of a deal in place with C Justin O'Conner, the team's first-round pick, the St. Petersburg Times' Marc Topkin reports.

The Tampa Bay Rays have taken C Justin O'Conner (Cowan High School) with the No. 31 overall pick in the 2010 MLB First-Year Player Draft.

The New York Mets have narrowed their choices down to three picks for their seventh overall selection in the MLB First-Year Player Draft Monday, June 7, according to the New York Post's Tim Bontemps. The team is considering 3B Zack Cox, P Matt Harvey and P Justin O'Conner.
