Fantasy Tip: Hanrahan was brought to Boston specifically to serve as the closer, so he'll need to go through an extended stretch of poor performances for John Farrell to even consider going to Andrew Bailey for fireman duties. Continue to roll with Hanrahan.

Hardy involved in the deal. The Tigers like Hardy, and do not feel the Cubs have the necessary components for a straight-up trade between the two sides. Moving Hardy would allow the Orioles to move 3B Manny Machado back to shortstop in 2013, but the deal would reportedly have to bowl over the Orioles to get them interested.

The Tigers are trying to get the Baltimore Orioles involved in this deal in order to acquire SS J.J. Hardy, and they don't think the Cubs have the necessary players to make it a two-team trade. In this three-team deal, the Cubs would have to send pitching Baltimore's way. However, the O's probably aren't very motivated to get rid of Hardy unless they are overwhelmed in a trade. Baltimore isn't prepared to move 3B Manny Machado to shortstop this season. The Orioles are also interested in adding Porcello.
