Oakland Athletics SP Jason Hammel will miss his next scheduled start, manager Bob Melvin said Tuesday, Sept. 16. Melvin also said that SP Drew Pomeranz will likely take Hammel's turn in the rotation.

Oakland Athletics SP Drew Pomeranz's (hand) throwing session went well Monday, July 7, according to manager Bob Melvin.

Fantasy Tip: Pomeranz's broken hand isn't too serious, and it's also his non-throwing hand. Those are positives that could make his return speedier than initially believed. However, his rotation spot might not be there to return to when he's ready now.

Oakland Athletics SP Drew Pomeranz (hand) is dealing with a "boxer's break" in his right hand, an MRI exam confirmed. He may attempt to play catch Monday, July 7, since his hand is healing so well.

Fantasy Tip: Pomeranz is by no means assured of getting his rotation spot back after the team traded for Jeff Samardzija and Jason Hammel. Only hang onto Pomeranz in AL leagues for the time being.
