Athletics | Five prospects signed

The San Francisco Chronicle's Susan Slusser reports Oakland Athletics assistant general manager David Forst confirmed the team signed five international players this month. P Andres Avila, 19, Mexico; SS Hiram Martinez, 17, Mexico; SS Rodolfo Penalo, 17, Dominican Republic; C Dionicio Ramirez, 17, Venezuela; and SS Chih-Fang Pan, 19, Taiwan, were signed to undisclosed contracts.
