Atlanta Falcons CBs Robert McClain, Javier Arenas and Josh Wilson will continue their battle for the nickelback role during the team's preseason finale Thursday, Aug. 28, according to head coach Mike Smith. "I don't really want to talk about who's going to get the first look, but all three are going to play," Smith said. "I don't think you can read into who gets the first snaps. It's going to be a matter of guys getting an opportunity to go out there and compete. We will put them in much quicker in the ball game then we have in the previous weeks. They won't take a whole half. It will be rotations by series."

Atlanta Falcons CB Robert McClain is more likely to stay at the nickel position rather than challenge for a starting job among the crowded race at right cornerback. McClain's biggest challenge might come from CB Peyton Thompson or perhaps Terrence Johnson or that nickel role.
