The Cincinnati Reds have optioned SP Travis Wood to Triple-A Louisville. In a corresponding move, the Reds activated SP Sam LeCure (forearm) from the 15-day disabled list.

Cincinnati Reds SP Sam LeCure (forearm) allowed one run and two hits while walking one and striking out three in 1 2/3 innings with Triple-A Louisville Tuesday, June 14. He has a 2.45 ERA in 3 2/3 innings in three rehab outings.

Cincinnati Reds RP Sam LeCure (forearm), who "pitched well" in his first minor league rehab appearance, according to manager Dusty Baker, is scheduled to throw again Sunday, June 12, with Triple-A Louisville. The plan is for LeCure to throw two innings Thursday, June 16, and then two more frames June 20.

Cincinnati Reds SP Sam LeCure (forearm) threw 25 pitches before the game Saturday, June 4. "I cut a few loose just to see where we're at, and that's kind of a big test throwing downhill," LeCure said. LeCure is eligible to return from the 15-day disabled list Tuesday, June 7.

The Cincinnati Reds have placed SP Sam LeCure (forearm) on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right forearm and recalled P Tom Cochran from the minors in a corresponding move. SP Matt Maloney (oblique) was also transferred to the 60-day DL.
