San Francisco Giants C Hector Sanchez (concussion) passed concussion tests and he has been cleared to resume his minor-league rehab assignment with Triple-A Fresno. The plan is for Sanchez to serve as the designated hitter Tuesday, Aug. 12, and then catch Wednesday, Aug. 13.

San Francisco Giants C Hector Sanchez (concussion) suffered a setback during his rehab assignment with Triple-A Fresno Friday, Aug. 8, after he took a hard shot off his mask. Manager Bruce Bochy said he would have to undergo some tests and possibly abandon his hockey-style catcher's mask.
