San Francisco Giants SS Ehire Adrianza (foot) will begin a minor-league rehab assignment on Wednesday, July 13. He is making his way back from a fractured left foot.

Fantasy Tip: When healthy Adrianza is only worth a look in the deepest of NL-only fantasy formats and as a DFS salary saver when in the starting nine.

Giants | Ehire Adrianza out six weeks

Fri, 15 Apr 2016 15:42:56 -0700

San Francisco Giants SS Ehire Adrianza (foot) has a fractured left foot and will miss six weeks.

Fantasy Tip: Adrianza owns a .212/.292/.305 career slash line and should be replaced in all fantasy formats. Giants | X-rays negative for Ehire Adrianza

Thu, 14 Apr 2016 16:02:17 -0700

San Francisco Giants SS Ehire Adrianza's (foot) has a sore left foot after fouling a pitch off it during the game Thursday, April 14, but X-rays were negative, according to manager Bruce Bochy.

Fantasy Tip: Brandon Crawford is also nursing a hip injury, so Adrianza could see a fleeting boost in playing time if he is healthy enough to suit up. There is extremely limited fantasy upside, though. Through 270 career plate appearances, Adrianza owns an underwhelming .212/.292/.305 slash line.

San Francisco Giants SS Brandon Crawford is not in the starting lineup against the Los Angeles Dodgers Saturday, April 9. INF Ehire Adrianza will play shortstop and bat ninth.

Fantasy Tip: Crawford is probably getting the day off because the team is facing left-handed SP Clayton Kershaw. Look for him to return to the lineup Sunday, April 10. Adrianza is not a recommended option in any fantasy format.

Giants | Buster Posey, Brandon Crawford to be rested

Tue, 05 Apr 2016 16:44:26 -0700

San Francisco Giants C Buster Posey and SS Brandon Crawford could be rested as soon as Wednesday, April 6, as manager Bruce Bochy wants to keep his regulars fresh for the long season. Bochy also wants to give 2B Kelby Tomlinson and SS Ehire Adrianza starts to keep them sharp.

Fantasy Tip: Take note and be prepared to bench Posey and/or Crawford tomorrow against Milwaukee. Tomlinson and Adrianza are low-end cheap flyers in daily contests if they see a spot start.

Giants | Ehire Adrianza has concussion

Wed, 23 Sep 2015 17:57:05 -0700

San Francisco Giants INF Ehire Adrianza (concussion) sustained a concussion during the ninth inning of a game against the Arizona Diamondbacks Tuesday, Sept. 22, after he was hit in the face by a ground ball.

Fantasy Tip: Adrianza ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) was starting to pick things up offensively after a sluggish start at the plate. Over his last eight games, he had gone 7-for-21 with three doubles, a triple, six RBIs and eight walks. It wouldn't be surprising if the team decides to shut Adrianza down for the remainder of the regular season.

Giants | Brandon Crawford remains out Friday

Fri, 28 Aug 2015 17:06:39 -0700

San Francisco Giants SS Brandon Crawford (oblique) remains out of the starting lineup against St. Louis Cardinals SP Michael Wacha Friday, Aug. 28. INF Ehire Adrianza will bat eighth and play shortstop.
