The Green Bay Packers signed free-agent OL Reggie Wells (Panthers) Wednesday, Aug. 8. The club also claimed WR Andrew Brewer off waivers from the Philadelphia Eagles. The team also placed OG Jaymes Brooks (hamstring) on the reserve/Physically-Unable-to-Perform (PUP) list and placed OT Mike McCabe (hip) on the season-ending Injured Reserve list.

Gil Brandt, of NFL.com, reports Northwestern WR Andrew Brewer ran the 40-yard dash in 4.60 seconds and 4.62 seconds, the short shuttle in 4.08 seconds and the three-cone drill in 6.84 seconds at his Pro Day. He measured a 39-inch vertical jump, a 10-foot broad jump and completed 15 repetitions on the 225-pound bench press.
