Miami Marlins SP Justin Nicolino was optioned to Class AAA New Orleans Friday, July 8. C Tomas Telis was recalled from New Orleans in a corresponding move, and P Eric Jokisch was outrighted.
Fantasy Tip: Nicolino could very well find himself back in Miami's starting rotation following the All-Star break. However, the lefty isn't all that attractive outside of NL-only leagues after sporting a 5.57 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and just 4.2 K's per nine in 12 starts this year.

Miami Marlins C J.T. Realmuto is not in the starting lineup Sunday, Sept. 20. C Tomas Telis is starting behind the plate and batting eighth against Washington Nationals SP Stephen Strasburg Sunday.
Fantasy Tip: Realmuto ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) is having a nice September with a .348/.347/.587 slash line, but you'll want to avoid him Sunday. Telis ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) has 95 career plate appearances, so he is nothing more than a desperation source of cap relief at FantasyScore Sunday, especially against Strasburg ($7,300, 14.6% of cap)

Miami Marlins C J.T. Realmuto is not in the starting lineup Tuesday, Aug. 18. C Tomas Telis is starting behind the plate and batting eighth against Milwaukee Brewers SP Tyler Cravy Tuesday.
Fantasy Tip: Make sure to avoid Realmuto ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) in all formats Tuesday. The youngster is having a solid season and boasts a .300/.323/.500 slash line over the past two weeks. Telis ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) shouldn't be viewed as anything more than a desperation source of cap relief by FantasyScore players Tuesday.

Texas Rangers C Tomas Telis is batting ninth against Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim SP Andrew Heaney Sunday, July 26.
Fantasy Tip: Telis ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is 2-for-6 with one RBI this season and is a career .257 hitter. Unless you are in desperate need of FantasyScore salary cap relief, avoid using him.

Texas Rangers C Robinson Chirinos is not in the starting lineup against Colorado Rockies SP Chris Rusin Monday, July 20. C Tomas Telis will start at catcher and is batting eighth in the lineup.
Fantasy Tip: Chirinos ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) likely is receiving a day off and should return to the lineup soon. Telis will be receiving his first start of the season and probably should not be a fantasy option at this point.

Texas Rangers C Tomas Telis was recalled from Class AAA Round Rock Friday, July 17. The team also placed C Carlos Corporan (thumb) on the 15-day disabled list because of a sprained thumb.
Fantasy Tip: Telis is one of the team's better prospects and could share time with Robinson Chirinos while he is up with the team. Telis is hitting .291 with five RBI and 25 RBI this season with Round Rock. Owners on AL-only and two-catcher leagues can consider adding him to their roster. Owners in dynasty leagues should also have interest in Telis if he is available.

Texas Rangers C Carlos Corporan could be traded away by the team at the deadline, and they are open to bringing up C Tomas Telis from the minors.
Fantasy Tip: Corporan's ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) fantasy value could be significantly impacted if he's traded away from the Rangers, as another club could use him for backstop depth. Telis, a switch-hitter, is hitting .291 (82-for-282) with five homers and 25 RBI for Class AAA Round Rock. If you're speculating in AL, dynasty or two-catcher leagues, Telis may justify a stash now.

The Texas Rangers could be in the market for a veteran catcher, even though general manager Jon Daniels believes C Robinson Chirinos is capable of starting at least 100 games next season. C Tomas Telis, who has performed well in winter ball, is currently slated to be the No. 2 catcher. C Jorge Alfaro is expected to be added to the 40-man roster but is unlikely to reach the majors before September 2015.
