Nationals | No Wilson Ramos Friday

Fri, 01 Jul 2016 13:28:14 -0700

Washington Nationals C Wilson Ramos is not in the starting lineup Friday, July 1. C Jose Lobaton is behind the plate and is hitting eighth against Cincinnati Reds SP Anthony DeSclafani.

Fantasy Tip: Ramos has been the most productive fantasy catcher in all of baseball this year. It looks like he's just receiving a normal day off. Lobaton is under the Mendoza Line this year and should be avoided in all fantasy formats this evening.

Nationals | Bryce Harper, Ben Revere sitting

Thu, 30 Jun 2016 12:09:12 -0700

Washington Nationals OFs Bryce Harper and Ben Revere are not in the starting lineup against Cincinnati Reds left-handed SP Brandon Finnegan Thursday, June 30. OF Michael Taylor is starting in center field and leading off, while OF Chris Heisey starts in right and is batting seventh. C Wilson Ramos moves into the cleanup spot.

Fantasy Tip: Harper and Revere have a routine day off against a southpaw. Get them out of your starting lineups. Taylor has a good combination of power and speed that plays well in the leadoff spot, and he's surely attractive as a low-priced outfielder in DFS. Heisey is more of a low-end play. Ramos is having the best fantasy season for a catcher this year and should be fired up everywhere.

Fantasy Tip: Of this afternoon's three replacements in the Washington lineup, Drew is the most productive source of salary cap relief for daily fantasy contests. He is 9-for-19 with two doubles, three home runs and eight RBI during the month of June and has raised his average for the season from .173 to .254.

Washington Nationals C Wilson Ramos is not in the starting lineup Thursday, June 9. C Jose Lobaton is starting behind the plate and batting eighth against Chicago White Sox SP Miguel Gonzalez Thursday.

Fantasy Tip: Ramos is off to a career-best start with 22 runs, eight home runs, 33 RBI and a .345/.392/.554 slash line, which makes him one of the best fantasy backstops thus far. Lobaton owns a .189/.283/.270 line over the past two seasons and is nothing more than a desperation start in all fantasy formats.
