Nationals | Wilson Ramos not in lineup

Sat, 18 Apr 2015 09:11:08 -0700

Washington Nationals C Wilson Ramos is not in the starting lineup Saturday, April 18. C Jose Lobaton will be the starting catcher for the game.

Fantasy Tip: Ramos ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) likely will receive to the lineup after receiving a day off Saturday. Lobaton ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) has gone hitless in all five of his at-bats this season and is not a great option on FantasyScore.

Nationals | Wilson Ramos focused on legs

Thu, 19 Feb 2015 11:29:16 -0800

Washington Nationals C Wilson Ramos, who missed plenty of time in 2014 with a broken hamate bone and hamstring ailments, said he spent time in the offseason working on his legs, and he wants to catch at least 120 games this season. "I feel 100 percent ready for this year," Ramos said. "The past two years, I had problems with my legs. This offseason I worked a lot on my legs. I was running a lot, working on my agility. … This year, I ran 100% in my country. It feels great. I'm happy for that."

Fantasy Tip: Ramos isn't a bad fantasy target at all as a midrange starting backstop. A full season of health would go a long way in helping him return significant value for your squad. It doesn't hurt that he's playing for one of the better all-around teams in the majors, either.
