OL Chris Degeare and C Joe Berger are still in the hunt at the position, and Fusco needs to keep his cool when he is on the field. "I'm going to be a lot smarter player, but stay on the physical side," Fusco said. "I've got to be smarter, or I won't be here for long."

Head coach Brad Childress and offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell acknowledged they could move OL Anthony Herrera more permanently to center and start OL Chris Degeare at right guard. OL Jon Cooper started the team's first two preseason games at center and worked there Saturday, Aug. 28. C Ryan Cook has also worked at center during training camp, but he is a long shot to start there.
