Bills | Mike Williams feeling good at start of camp

Sat, 19 Jul 2014 12:29:03 -0700

Buffalo Bills WR Mike Williams said he felt good after participating in conditioning workouts on the first day of training camp Saturday, July 19. "I'm fully ready to go," Williams said. "I trained this whole offseason. There was really no offseason for me. I kinda had to get my leg better. I had to get back to feeling like Mike again, like my mom always tells me. Today running that conditioning test made me feel like I was Mike again." Williams had missed several spring practices to rest a surgically-repaired hamstring.

Bills | Mike Williams could be big factor in red zone

Mon, 14 Jul 2014 17:59:56 -0700

Buffalo Bills WR Mike Williams could become one of the main weapons in the red zone for the team this season because of his physical style of play, according to ESPN.com's Mike Rodak. Last year, the Bills were one of just four teams to finish with a red zone touchdown efficiency of less than 50 percent.

Fantasy Tip: Williams will likely be the No. 3 receiver behind Sammy Watkins and Robert Woods, but if he can carve out a role as EJ Manuel's primary red zone target, he could be worth a look as a WR3 when the Bills have friendly matchups.

Bills | Sammy Watkins to contribute immediately

Fri, 09 May 2014 14:01:55 -0700

The Buffalo Bills believe WR Sammy Watkins will contribute to their offense "immediately," and they view him among the likes of Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones and Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green. Watkins is expected to be the team's No. 1 wideout, followed by WR Robert Woods. After that, the team will find a way to fit WRs Mike Williams, Marquise Goodwin and T.J. Graham into the picture.

Fantasy Tip: It's always risky to expect too much out of a wideout in his first season, especially as he grows with young QB EJ Manuel. Still, Watkins has the tools to be great, even in his first year. For now, consider him a WR3 until we see more.
