Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders leads in receptions

Tue, 23 Sep 2014 13:10:13 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders leads the NFL with 25 catches through three weeks, and he's third with 334 receiving yards.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders should be in lineups on a weekly basis, although the Broncos are on bye in Week 4. Sanders could see his targets drop slightly, though, now that Wes Welker is back in action.

Denver Broncos WR Wes Welker will return to the slot receiver position in Week 3 against the Seattle Seahawks, moving WR Emmanuel Sanders back outside opposite WR Demaryius Thomas. WR Andre Caldwell will return to the No. 4 receiver role.

Fantasy Tip: Unfortunately, Welker won't be available at FantasyScore this week, but he should be returned immediately to all standard lineups against the Seahawks.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders reaches century mark

Mon, 15 Sep 2014 09:39:29 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders led the team with eight catches for 108 yards in Week 2 against the Kansas City Chiefs. It was the first 100-yard game of his career.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders has been a fine fantasy option in the first two weeks despite not reaching the end zone. His usage in the offense could take a hit, though, if Wes Welker returns in Week 3 against the Seattle Seahawks.

Broncos | Andre Caldwell starting Week 1

Sun, 07 Sep 2014 15:51:52 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Andre Caldwell is listed as a starter for Week 1 against the Indianapolis Colts Sunday, Sept. 7, in place of the suspended WR Wes Welker. The team is expected to use a combination of WRs Emmanuel Sanders, Demaryius Thomas and even their running backs in the slot for Week 1. The team might also use two tight ends while using flex TE Jacob Tamme in the slot.

Fantasy Tip: FantasyScore owners who rolled the dice on the low-priced Caldwell could be in for a surprising stat line with Caldwell. Stay tuned.

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (thigh) practiced in full Friday, Sept. 5, and is probable for Week 1 against the Indianapolis Colts.

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (thigh) practiced in full Wednesday, Sept. 3.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders not 100%

Tue, 26 Aug 2014 14:12:15 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (quadriceps) is still not at 100 percent in his recovery from an injured right quadriceps. Sanders takes breaks during practice to avoid aggravating the injury.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders certainly looked close to 100 percent in his coming out party against the Houston Texans. He'll be a key weapon in the Broncos' passing attack this season and has low-end WR2 potential.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders getting close

Wed, 20 Aug 2014 19:29:29 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (quadriceps) was involved in practice Wednesday, Aug. 20, but he is not working in "live" setting yet. Head coach John Fox would not rule out Sanders' return from a quadriceps injury in time for the preseason game Saturday, Aug. 23, against the Houston Texans.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders is in line to be either the No. 3 or 4 receiver in Denver. On most clubs, that wouldn't amount to much fantasy appeal, but with Peyton Manning in the high-octane offense, Sanders is a decent WR4 or flex play if he can get healthy.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders sits out preseason game

Sun, 17 Aug 2014 18:17:29 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (quadriceps) did not play in the second preseason game. Sanders missed some practice time this week, and the team wants to be cautious with Sanders.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders can take his time coming back from the injury, because he has a few weeks before the start of the season. He could be considered a No. 3 or No. 4 wide receiver in most fantasy leagues.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders expected to play

Wed, 13 Aug 2014 10:13:07 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (quadriceps) is expected to play in the second preseason game even though he has been dealing with a quadriceps injury.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders can take his time to make sure he is ready for the start of the regular season. Sanders could be considered a No. 4 wide receiver at this point but has the chance to become a No. 3 receiver because of the offense he plays on.

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (quadriceps) was back at practice Tuesday, Aug. 12, and he lined up with WR Demaryius Thomas in packages that featured two wide receivers and two tight ends.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders may be the third receiver on his own team, but because of Denver's prolific passing attack, he is still a solid WR3.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders compares QBs

Mon, 28 Jul 2014 17:11:56 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders said QB Peyton Manning is a "better leader" than Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger. "This is the first time that I had a quarterback that stays every single day after practice, no matter what his accolades," Sanders said. "From NFL MVP, Super Bowl rings. He keeps guys like me and (Cody) Latimer after practice and we're out there 15, 20 minutes. And he's not one of those guys you gotta go chase down, he's gonna be right at the same spot ready to work, every single day."

Fantasy Tip: Sanders is set to be the No. 3 receiver for the Broncos this season, and the extra work he is putting in with Manning should help him hit the ground running when the season begins. He is worth drafting in the middle rounds as a WR3 in fantasy leagues.

Undrafted WR Isaiah Burse has potential but will have to show some significant pop in the preseason games to earn a potential job as return man and possible sixth receiver.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders excited

Wed, 09 Jul 2014 06:32:26 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders said it feels like he landed in "wide receiver heaven" when he signed with the team. "The thing that I like about the Broncos is there is really no No. 1 guy," Sanders said. "Peyton always goes with the favorable matchup and that's what I'm really liking about this offense. Any guy could go off for 180 yards or 100 yards with 10 catches any week, week in and week out, just based off of matchups."

Fantasy Tip: Sanders is one of those receivers that could light it up any given week in good matchups. He is a decent fantasy WR3.

Wed, 14 May 2014 14:28:22 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders has been running extra routes after practice to improve his timing with QB Peyton Manning. Sanders wanted to go to a spread offense where he wouldn't have to block "75 percent of the time" and is elated to be with last season's top offense.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders has mid-round fantasy appeal. His value is on the rise, especially in PPR formats.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders was almost in Kansas City

Sun, 16 Mar 2014 23:28:17 -0700

The three-year deal WR Emmanuel Sanders signed to join the Denver Broncos stands as official. However, Sanders' agent, Steve Weinberg, had originally accepted a deal with the Kansas City Chiefs on his client's behalf. Weinberg then shopped Kansas City's offer to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers without telling the Buccaneers that the offer had already been accepted. Ultimately, of course, Sanders agreed to sign with Denver.

Fantasy Tip: There had been conflicting information about Sanders, as he was visiting with the Kansas City Chiefs Saturday night. Sanders will see a nice increase in fantasy appeal playing with Peyton Manning and the high-flying Denver aerial attack. He will ostensibly replace Eric Decker, making him a solid WR2/3 or flex option in most fantasy leagues in 2014.

Free-agent WR Emmanuel Sanders (Steelers) is visiting with the Kansas City Chiefs Saturday, March 15, for the second night in a row, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: There was a report earlier that stated Sanders was to sign with the division rival of the Chiefs, the Denver Broncos. Perhaps Kansas City is sweetening their offer and making an 11th hour bid to keep him from going to their enemy.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders expected to sign

Sat, 15 Mar 2014 18:19:42 -0700

The Denver Broncos are expected to sign free-agent WR Emmanuel Sanders (Steelers), according to league sources. Neither the team, nor the player's agent, will confirm the report.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders would see a bump in fantasy value playing with Peyton Manning in the Mile High City. He would likely be in the mix to replace the receptions void caused by the loss of Eric Decker via free agency. He could emerge as a solid WR2/3 or flex fantasy play.

NFL | Medical concerns for Emmanuel Sanders?

Fri, 14 Mar 2014 15:44:37 -0700

There are medical concerns surrounding free-agent WR Emmanuel Sanders (foot), meaning he may not get the type of deal he was seeking in free agency. He has a screw in each foot after injuries he suffered in the Super Bowl following the 2010 season. Sanders is reportedly seeking a contract similar to the five-year, $31.5 million deal that WR Golden Tate received from the Detroit Lions. The Pittsburgh Steelers are open to re-signing him, but he'll likely have to accept a much shorter deal.
