Broncos | Demaryius Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders absent

Mon, 04 Jun 2018 11:03:55 -0700

Denver Broncos WRs Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders were not present for organized team activities Monday, June 4.

Fantasy Tip: Both Thomas and Sanders should be on the field for the mandatory minicamp and will be the team's starting receivers. They saw a dip in their production but should be candidates for bounce back seasons with Case Keenum as the quarterback. Thomas can be a No. 2 fantasy receiver, while Sanders can be a No. 3 or No. 4 receiver.

Broncos | Denver counting on Carlos Henderson

Thu, 29 Mar 2018 20:20:32 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Carlos Henderson has to win his one-on-one matchups to help out WR Demaryius Thomas and WR Emmanuel Sanders, according to head coach Vance Joseph. "We're counting on that kid to come in and play for us, especially in the slot," Joseph said.

Fantasy Tip: Henderson won't have much value in redraft leagues as Denver's third receiver, but he is worth owning in dynasty formats.

Broncos | Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders will stay

Wed, 28 Feb 2018 13:03:10 -0800

Denver Broncos WRs Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders are expected to remain in Denver, according to general manager John Elway. Thomas' $4 million option will be picked up.

Fantasy Tip: It makes sense that the Broncos would keep arguably their two best offensive players if they want to entice a better quarterback to town. Thomas can be drafted as a WR2 no matter who the quarterback is with Sanders capable of low-end WR2 to high-end WR3 numbers.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders making progress

Fri, 23 Feb 2018 13:20:16 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) said his rehab is going well and believes his ankle is at around 95 percent.

Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to monitor Sanders' situation this offseason to see if he will stay with the Broncos or if he will join a new team. He has been a solid receiver over the last few years and can be a No. 3 or No. 4 fantasy receiver in 2018.

Broncos | Denver to keep both wide receivers?

Wed, 14 Feb 2018 10:22:38 -0800

Denver Broncos WRs Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders could both stay on the roster in an effort to better lure a big-name quarterback, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Sanders, in particular, had been rumored to be traded or released this offseason.

Fantasy Tip: The Broncos need more money to make a good pitch to someone like Kirk Cousins. If they keep Thomas and Sanders then they'll likely released Aqib Talib and C.J. Anderson. If they do land a top quarterback then the fantasy value of both Thomas and Sanders will naturally increase.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders on trade block?

Sat, 10 Feb 2018 09:22:44 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders could be placed on the trade block this offseason because of his salary and his uncertain durability, in the opinion of The Denver Post's Nicki Jhabvala. Sanders missed four games this season because of an ankle injury and is scheduled to have salary cap hits of around $10.9 million and $12.9 million over the next two seasons.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders had a disappointing 2017 season with only 555 yards and two touchdowns. He has been a solid receiver since entering the league but may be on the move during the offseason. He can be a starter for most teams in the NFL and could be a No. 3 fantasy receiver depending on his team.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders remains out of practice

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) was not able to practice Thursday, Dec. 28.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders appears to be headed for another missed game. If he and Cody Latimer both can't play again then Bennie Fowler should start opposite Demaryius Thomas. In that case, Thomas would be the only startable Denver receiver.

Wed, 27 Dec 2017 12:42:41 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) was a non-participant in practice Wednesday, Dec. 27.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders could finish his forgettable season on the sidelined this week. If he's able to play he'll still have Paxton Lynch throwing his way. Do not start Emmanuel Sanders.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders day-to-day

Tue, 26 Dec 2017 09:47:02 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) is still nursing a sore ankle and remains day-to-day.

Fantasy Tip: Other than to give Paxton Lynch another capable target, there is no reason for Denver to send him out there in Week 17. Sanders was never able to get quite right after hurting his ankle in Week 6 and will finish with his least productive season as a Bronco regardless of whether he plays. Expect Denver to rest him against the Kansas City Chiefs so he can focus on getting right by the time minicamp rolls around next spring.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders hurting

Fri, 22 Dec 2017 21:17:25 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) said he is still sore, and Mike Klis of 9News.com believes Sanders is unlikely to play against the Washington Redskins in Week 16.

Fantasy Tip: If Sanders is sidelined, Demaryius Thomas should see plenty of targets. The Redskins have been solid against opposing receivers, but Thomas should be a volume-based WR3.

Fri, 22 Dec 2017 16:20:58 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 22, and is listed as questionable for Week 16.

Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to check in the inactive list to see if Sanders will be able to play in Week 16. He is coming off a solid Week 15 performance but has not been a great fantasy option this month. Owners could consider benching Sanders if they have better options available.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders spotted at practice

Fri, 22 Dec 2017 11:09:42 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) participated in practice for the first time this week Friday, Dec. 22, although head coach Vance Joseph said Sanders was "very sore."

Fantasy Tip: Sanders hurt his ankle in Week 6 and hasn't been anywhere close to 100 percent since. Even if he goes in Week 16 against the Washington Redskins, he doesn't belong in fantasy lineups outside of the deepest of leagues.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders misses practice again

Thu, 21 Dec 2017 15:27:12 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) missed practice for the second day in a row Thursday, Dec. 21.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders is coming off his best game in more than a month, when he logged seven catches for 68 yards opposite the Colts last Thursday evening. However, he's trending towards not suiting up in this week's contest, and even if he does, his ceiling is so low at this point that owners are better off looking elsewhere to deploy as their WR3.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders sidelined

Thu, 21 Dec 2017 11:32:44 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) was not practicing Thursday, Dec. 21.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders didn't practice yesterday either, so his status could come down to a game-time decision. If Sanders is out or limited at all then Cody Latimer becomes even more of an intriguing play.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders does not practice

Wed, 20 Dec 2017 16:47:23 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 20.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders has been on the injury report for several weeks but has been able to play despite the injury. He had a decent outing in Week 15 but has not been much of a factor in the passing game over the last five games. He could be a flex option for some owners but can also be benched if owners have better options.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders day-to-day

Fri, 15 Dec 2017 11:59:24 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) has been diagnosed with a right ankle bone bruise and is considered day-to-day.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders appeared to be a prominent part of the game plan for the first time in weeks in Thursday's win over the Indianapolis Colts, but he was seen standing on the sideline for parts of the second half after aggravating his ankle injury. Given last night's game, he'll have two extra full days to get ready to play in Week 16 against the Washington Redskins.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders logs seven grabs

Thu, 14 Dec 2017 21:14:24 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) caught a team-high seven passes for 68 yards prior to departing with an ankle injury against the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday, Dec. 14.

Fantasy Tip: After four consecutive games of less than 20 receiving yards Sanders looked well on his way to reaching the century mark before his balky ankle acted up. Given how poorly most of his season has gone, however, it'd be a leap of faith to start Sanders even if he's healthy in Week 16.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders aggravates ankle

Thu, 14 Dec 2017 20:16:06 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) will not return against the Indianapolis Colts Thursday, Dec. 14, after aggravating an ankle injury.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders was having his best game in quite some time, but he just can't seem to completely shake his ankle injury. If Sanders misses more time, it should only bolster Demaryius Thomas' fantasy floor.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders off injury report

Wed, 13 Dec 2017 14:53:32 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) was able to practice fully on Wednesday, Dec. 13, and he has been removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 15 game against the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday, Dec. 14.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders has been horrible over his past four games, averaging just 13.5 yards per game. His last touchdown came back on Sept. 17, going nine straight games without a score. He hasn't been the same since injuring himself in mid-October and has devolved into more of a WR4 at this point.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders full go in practice

Tue, 12 Dec 2017 16:12:38 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) participated fully in practice Tuesday, Dec. 12.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders has struggled mightily over his last several games, partially due to erratic quarterback play. In four straight games Denver's deep threat has totaled just 54 yards. He is not a recommended start in the fantasy playoffs, but using him as a desperation flex in a good matchup versus the Indianapolis Colts is understandable.

Broncos | Full practice for Emmanuel Sanders

Mon, 11 Dec 2017 17:59:48 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) fully participated in practice Monday, Dec. 11.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders continues to be a disappointing option for owners and has four straight games with under 20 receiving yards. He will have a favorable matchup this week but may only be a flex option in deeper leagues.

Broncos | One catch for Emmanuel Sanders

Sun, 10 Dec 2017 19:44:28 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders caught one pass for 16 yards in a 23-0 win over the New York Jets in Week 14.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders has now been held below 20 receiving yard in four straight games, and between his ankle injury and the poor quarterback play in Denver, it's tough to justify starting Sanders right now.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders will be in uniform

Sun, 10 Dec 2017 12:10:27 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) is officially active in the team's Week 14 game.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders has been on a cold streak lately and has recorded less than 20 yards in each of the last three games. He could be a flex option in some deeper leagues, but owners can bench Sanders if they have better options available.

Sat, 09 Dec 2017 21:08:29 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) is listed as questionable to face the New York Jets in Week 14, but he will play, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: The injury and poor quarterback play have led to a rough stretch for Sanders, but he could be worth a flier as a flex option against a Jets defense that has allowed the second-most receiving touchdowns this year.

Broncos | Coach expects Emmanuel Sanders to play

Sat, 09 Dec 2017 11:57:51 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) is expected to play in Week 14 even though he is listed as questionable, according to head coach Vance Joseph. Joseph said Sanders has been dealing with a sore ankle for a few weeks.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders' injury has affected his play recently since he has recorded only 38 total yards over the last three games. He probably will be in uniform against the New York Jets but will not be a great fantasy option and can be benched by owners.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders returns to practice

Thu, 07 Dec 2017 15:42:30 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) returned to practice and was a full participant Thursday, Dec. 7.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders has been bothered by an ankle ailment as of late, and that combined with bad quarterback play has saddled the eight-year veteran with some poor numbers on the campaign. He's been especially disappointing as of late, having accumulated just seven catches for 38 yards combined over his last three contests. As a result, it's very difficult to trust him right now in any format.

Sun, 03 Dec 2017 18:49:25 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders caught two passes on seven targets for 11 yards in a 35-9 loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 13.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders has now been held to 15 yards or less in three straight games, and poor quarterback play has destroyed his fantasy value. At this point, he is a desperation flex option.

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) practiced in full for a second straight day Friday, Dec. 1, and he was removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 13 game against the Miami Dolphins.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders does not practice

Wed, 29 Nov 2017 15:11:15 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 29, as he rested his ankle injury.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders has been able to play recently after missing a handful of games, but he has been limited to 30 or fewer yards in three of his four outings since returning. It also hasn't helped that there is a quarterback carousel in Denver, and that's tamping down the production of Sanders, too.

Sun, 26 Nov 2017 19:37:38 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders caught three passes on six targets for 12 yards in a 21-14 loss to the Oakland Raiders in Week 12.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders has been held under 20 yards in back-to-back games, and the quarterback situation in Denver isn't doing him any favors. Regardless of who us under center in Week 13, Sanders is no more than a WR3.

Sun, 26 Nov 2017 12:29:59 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) is officially active for the team's Week 12 game.

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) is expected to play in Week 12's game against the Oakland Raiders.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders was listed as questionable on the injury report and was a limited participant during the team's two most recent practice sessions during the week. He should be viewed as a somewhat risky WR3 or flex option due to Denver's shaky quarterback situation.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders limited again

Fri, 24 Nov 2017 15:20:49 -0800

Updating a previous report, Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) was limited during practice Friday, Nov. 24, and is listed as questionable for Week 12.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders should have a decent chance to play in Week 12 as long as he does not suffer a setback in the next few days. He will be working with his third quarterback of the season this week, which makes him a risky option for owners. He can be at least a flex option if owners decide to use him.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders listed as questionable

Fri, 24 Nov 2017 12:08:02 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) is listed as questionable for Week 12 against the Oakland Raiders.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders was held out of practice Wednesday, but he returned Thursday and is expected to play against the Raiders' dreadful pass defense. Working against him is the fact Paxton Lynch will be making his first start of the season, although the two showed some chemistry with each other in their limited time together last year. The quarterback situation makes him more of a WR3 this week, but there is upside for much more if Lynch proves to be an upgrade.
