Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders back on the field

Mon, 31 Aug 2015 10:53:17 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (hamstring) is participating in practice Monday, Aug. 31.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders has been sidelined with a hamstring injury but appears to be recovering. Sanders should be a middle-round option in most leagues because he will see regular playing time and receive plenty of targets.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders could return next week

Thu, 27 Aug 2015 15:03:05 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (hamstring) could return to full practice participation next week, according to head coach Gary Kubiak. Sanders is still on pace to be ready for the regular season opener Sunday, Sept. 13.

Fantasy Tip: As long as Sanders doesn't aggravate the hamstring injury, it would be surprising not to see him on the field to start the season. He's an invaluable part of the Broncos' offense, but a duplication of last season's output shouldn't be expected. Still, he's in WR2 territory.

Wed, 26 Aug 2015 17:07:16 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (hamstring) will not play in the team's third preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers Saturday, Aug. 29.

Fantasy Tip: The odds appear good that Sanders won't play in the team's final preseason game either. However, he is expected to be ready for the season opener against the Baltimore Ravens Sept. 13, and remains worthy of consideration as a WR2.

Wed, 26 Aug 2015 12:46:15 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (hamstring) may practice Friday, Aug. 28, according to head coach Gary Kubiak.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders will practice eventually and he should be good to go for the beginning of the season. Sanders is coming off a career year, so don't expect him to duplicate those numbers. He's still worth taking as your WR2, though.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders still out

Wed, 26 Aug 2015 10:57:35 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (hamstring) is still out of practice Wednesday, Aug. 26, but the expectation is that he'll return sometime this week.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders is a solid WR2, but he may fall short of the gaudy numbers from his breakout season a year ago due to a tamed offense.

Sat, 22 Aug 2015 16:48:35 -0700

Thu, 20 Aug 2015 10:33:54 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (hamstring) likely will not play in the second preseason game Saturday, Aug. 22.

Fantasy Tip: The team is taking things slow with Sanders he make sure he does not suffer a setback in his recovery. Sanders likely will not put up the same stats he did last season but should still be a solid fantasy option that could be selected in the middle rounds of drafts.

Wed, 19 Aug 2015 09:25:42 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (hamstring) is not participating in practice Wednesday, Aug. 19.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders has more than a cramp

Mon, 17 Aug 2015 23:26:30 -0700

Updating previous reports, Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (hamstring) admitted he's dealing with more than a hamstring cramp that has kept him out of practice for 11 days. He's expected to sit a few more days and is doubtful for the preseason game Saturday, Aug. 22.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders is a solid WR2 and this hiccup isn't expected to affect him much.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders to sit a few more days

Mon, 17 Aug 2015 16:59:32 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (hamstring) will be held out of practice for a few more days to make sure his injured hamstring has time to heal. The team is not concerned about Sanders' status for the start of the season.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders should be ready for the start of the regular season if he does not suffer a setback. Sanders should still be solid fantasy option for owners this season but probably will see fewer targets under head coach Gary Kubiak. Sanders likely will be a starting option most weeks.

Broncos | Demaryius Thomas and others will sit

Thu, 13 Aug 2015 14:05:18 -0700

Denver Broncos WRs Demaryius Thomas (rest) and Emmanuel Sanders (hamstring) and TE Owen Daniels (rest) will not play in the first preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks Friday, Aug. 14.

Fantasy Tip: This isn't out of the ordinary for starters not to play the first preseason game, especially if they're nursing an injury, like Sanders. Don't read anything into these moves from a fantasy perspective.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders on the field

Sun, 09 Aug 2015 09:44:52 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (hamstring) is participating in practicing Sunday, Aug. 9.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders has been sitting out the last few days but should be fine moving forward as long as he does not suffer a setback. Sanders is still a solid option for fantasy owners, but his targets likely will decrease under head coach Gary Kubiak. Sanders could be a middle-round option in most drafts.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders sitting out

Sat, 08 Aug 2015 09:04:20 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (hamstring) is not participating in practice Saturday, Aug. 8.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders does not need to rush back to the field, so he is sitting out until his injury is healed. Sanders will continue to be an important piece in the passing game but could see his targets drop some because of head coach Gary Kubiak's offense. Sanders should still be a solid middle-round pick in drafts.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders back soon

Fri, 07 Aug 2015 11:26:47 -0700

Updating a previous report, Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders' (hamstring) injury is not considered serious, and head coach Gary Kubiak expects Sanders to return to action in a few days.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders had a breakout year with Denver in 2014 in his first full season with Peyton Manning under center. Those gaudy numbers will almost certainly be impossible to repeat with the Broncos going to a much more balanced attack this year.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders unsure of return

Fri, 07 Aug 2015 11:16:22 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (hamstring) is unsure when he'll return to practice, but the team is likely to be cautious with him early in training camp.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders should be fine. Don't expect him to match or exceed his numbers from last year, though, when he caught 101 passes for 1,404 yards and nine touchdowns in a breakout year in his first season with Peyton Manning. The Broncos are expected to be much more balanced in 2015 with new head coach Gary Kubiak.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders leaves early Thursday

Thu, 06 Aug 2015 09:59:00 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (hamstring) left practice early Thursday, Aug. 6, because of a cramp in his right hamstring.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders may sit out a day or two before participating in practice again. Sanders is coming off a terrific 2014 season but may see a drop in his targets under new head coach Gary Kubiak. Owners could still consider selecting Sanders in the middle rounds of drafts.

Broncos | Fewer targets for Emmanuel Sanders?

Mon, 20 Jul 2015 19:21:55 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders had a breakout season and Pro Bowl appearance in 2014, but with a tweaked offense under head coach Gary Kubiak the receiver might see fewer passes thrown his way.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders is expected to move into the slot in three-wide receiver formations, so he'll still be a standout for fantasy owners in leagues which reward points per reception (PPR). He might have slightly fewer numbers in standard formats, but he is still a strong WR2 or flex fantasy option in all formats.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders may see dip in stats

Wed, 27 May 2015 22:17:02 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders indicated he may not be able to put up the same numbers in 2015 than he did in 2014 because of the offense head coach Gary Kubiak is bringing to the team. "It's definitely different," Sanders said. "You talk about going from a no-huddle offense to an offense that's huddling up, to an offense that is predicated off running a football and then throwing it. It's different." Sanders said his goal is to have 1,000 receiving yards on the season.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders likely will not catch over 100 passes this upcoming season, but he should continue to have a solid role in the passing game. Sanders' fantasy value could drop some because of the new offense, but he is still an option in the middle rounds of drafts.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders to play some in slot

Mon, 13 Apr 2015 11:26:54 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders said he will play in the slot when the Broncos play with a three wide receiver set, and that he's comfortable in that position.

Fantasy Tip: As Sanders said, he played slot in college and with the Pittsburgh Steelers, so this won't be anything new to him. This shouldn't have a lot of bearing on his fantasy value, except that his depth of target may decrease somewhat. He should still be considered in the high-end WR2 range.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders to play in Pro Bowl

Thu, 15 Jan 2015 12:32:31 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders will play in the 2015 Pro Bowl is an injury replacement for Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (undisclosed).

Fantasy Tip: Sanders is coming off a terrific 2014 season with career highs in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns. Sanders' fantasy value likely will be affected by Peyton Manning's decision on his future. Sanders probably would be a No. 2 wide receiver in fantasy drafts if Manning decides to return but could be more like a No. 3 receiver if Manning decides to retire.

Broncos | No practice for Emmanuel Sanders

Tue, 30 Dec 2014 14:22:22 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders is taking the day off practice Tuesday, Dec. 30.

Fantasy Tip: This should be considered more of a rest day for Sanders, who has been beat up down the stretch with multiple ailments. He'll be fine to play in the Divisional Round next week, and he's a strong play in PPR formats like FantasyScore.

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (hip) was limited in practice for the third time this week Friday, Dec. 26, and is questionable for Week 17 against the Oakland Raiders.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders dealt with back spasms

Tue, 23 Dec 2014 10:19:50 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (back) left the game with back spasms for the team's final offensive series, but he should be fine to play in Week 17 against the Oakland Raiders.

Fantasy Tip: Despite the late injury, Sanders had a great game with two touchdown catches in the loss to the Cincinnati Bengals Monday night. If he's good to go for the season finale, he should be a solid FantasyScore option for $5,555 against the Raiders.

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (concussion) practiced in full Friday, Nov. 21, and is probable for Week 12 against the Miami Dolphins, according to head coach John Fox.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders ($6,900) is a must-start in standard fantasy leagues, and he's a fine option at FantasyScore, too. Heck, he may even be more valuable this week against the Miami Dolphins if Julius Thomas (ankle) doesn't play. Sanders has been Peyton Manning's favorite target for most of the year.

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (concussion) is not participating in practice Thursday, Nov. 20.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders will need to pass all of his concussion tests before being cleared to play again. If Sanders is not able to play, Cody Latimer and Andre Caldwell likely will have bigger roles in the offense. Latimer and Caldwell each cost $3,000 on FantasyScore, but Latimer may have more value.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders sitting out

Wed, 19 Nov 2014 10:24:09 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (concussion) is not participating in practice Wednesday, Nov. 19.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders still has a few days to be cleared to play, so owners should continue to watch his status during the week. Cody Latimer and Andre Caldwell could receive more work if Sanders is not able to play. Latimer and Caldwell both cost $3,000 on FantasyScore, but Latimer has more upside if owners want to decide between the two receivers.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders likely to miss practice

Mon, 17 Nov 2014 14:19:22 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (concussion) is likely to miss practice this week after suffering a concussion in Week 11. He'll go through the concussion protocol, and his status for Week 12 against the Miami Dolphins will depend on whether he's cleared later in the week by an independent doctor.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders looked to be in good shape after he left the field, so it'll depend on whether he clears the protocol later this week. He could be very questionable against the Dolphins, however, making him a pretty risky FantasyScore option.

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders had nine catches on nine targets for a team-high 120 yards and three touchdowns in the team's Week 8 game Thursday, Oct. 23.

Fantasy Tip: After a couple of quiet games, Sanders bounced back with his best game of the season. He has been excellent in his first year in Denver, and at his current $6,200 salary (12.4% of cap), Sanders is a bargain at FantasyScore compared to many of the receivers in his price range.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders looking for first TD

Sat, 11 Oct 2014 10:25:16 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders leads the team in receptions and receiving yards but has yet to score through four games. Sanders and the Broncos face a New York Jets defense that has allowed six touchdowns to wide receivers.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders has the matchup to achieve his first touchdown as Peyton Manning approaches Brett Favre's record of 508 career touchdowns. Sanders should be in your lineup anyway, but he could pay dividends at $6,900 on FantasyScore.

Tue, 23 Sep 2014 13:10:13 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders leads the NFL with 25 catches through three weeks, and he's third with 334 receiving yards.

The team is expected to use a combination of WRs Emmanuel Sanders, Demaryius Thomas and even their running backs in the slot for Week 1. The team might also use two tight ends while using flex TE Jacob Tamme in the slot.

Fantasy Tip: FantasyScore owners who rolled the dice on the low-priced Caldwell could be in for a surprising stat line with Caldwell. Stay tuned.

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (quadriceps) is still not at 100 percent in his recovery from an injured right quadriceps. Sanders takes breaks during practice to avoid aggravating the injury.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders certainly looked close to 100 percent in his coming out party against the Houston Texans. He'll be a key weapon in the Broncos' passing attack this season and has low-end WR2 potential.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders getting close

Wed, 20 Aug 2014 19:29:29 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (quadriceps) was involved in practice Wednesday, Aug. 20, but he is not working in "live" setting yet. Head coach John Fox would not rule out Sanders' return from a quadriceps injury in time for the preseason game Saturday, Aug. 23, against the Houston Texans.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders is in line to be either the No. 3 or 4 receiver in Denver. On most clubs, that wouldn't amount to much fantasy appeal, but with Peyton Manning in the high-octane offense, Sanders is a decent WR4 or flex play if he can get healthy.

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (quadriceps) did not play in the second preseason game. Sanders missed some practice time this week, and the team wants to be cautious with Sanders.
