Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders not seeking huge deal?

Fri, 29 Jul 2016 19:25:33 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders said he wants a fair deal but isn't trying to "break the bank" during negotiations on a contract extension.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders has delivered two strong seasons since arriving in Denver, but the quarterback situation in 2016 could cap his upside. Draft him as a reliable WR3.

Broncos | Denver working on Emmanuel Sanders deal

Wed, 27 Jul 2016 12:29:51 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders' representatives are still talking with the Broncos about a contract extension. General manager John Elway said he would like to reach an agreement with Sanders but is not sure what will happen.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders has posted at least 1,100 yards in each of his two seasons with the Broncos and will continue to be a main option in the passing game. Sanders should be a fine No. 2 or No. 3 wide receiver in most fantasy leagues.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders the top priority

Sun, 17 Jul 2016 11:00:24 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders is now the top priority for Denver after signing LB Von Miller to a long-term deal. Sanders isn't worried, though, and is staying focused on football. "I just sit back, work out and the rest will take care of itself," Sanders said. Sanders has also stated that he wants to play for the Broncos for a long time.

Fantasy Tip: The fantasy value of the Broncos' receivers dips a little bit this year with an unsure quarterback situation. Even with that uncertainty, Sanders is still a low-end WR2 consideration in standard leagues.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders bulks up

Mon, 11 Jul 2016 09:38:27 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders said he has added 10 pounds of muscle this offseason, and he's not concerned about his contract talks.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders is a decent WR2 as the primary deep threat for the team. The quarterback situation will have an effect on him, but he posted a 76-1,135-6 season last year with a questionable QB situation as well.

Broncos | Talks with Emmanuel Sanders on hold

Wed, 06 Jul 2016 22:16:10 -0700

Contract talks between Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders and the club are not off, but they are on hold for now. He is scheduled to make $5.6 million in the final year of his contract this season.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders will be the team's most consistent deep threat and he will again be a dependable WR2 in all fantasy leagues despite the quarterback change from Peyton Manning to Mark Sanchez.

Broncos | Good talks for Emmanuel Sanders

Sat, 02 Jul 2016 10:29:15 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders has had good talks with the Broncos regarding a new contract, according to The Denver Post's Troy Renck.

Fantasy Tip: The quarterback situation is different in Denver, but Sanders is still the Broncos' best deep threat. Consider him as a WR2 in standard leagues.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders not worried about deal

Sun, 26 Jun 2016 13:54:16 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders is entering the final year of his contract but is not worried about his contract situation because he believes something will be worked out.

Fantasy Tip: The Broncos are trying to sign Von Miller to a new deal but likely will turn their attention to Sanders at some point. His fantasy value will take a bit of a hit because of the team's quarterback situation, but he should still be a weekly starting option in all fantasy leagues in 2016.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders talking extension

Thu, 09 Jun 2016 23:43:29 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders received a contract proposal last week from the team, and his agent recently sent back a counter offer.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders had a decent 76-1,135-6 season last year, but it paled in comparison to expectations after his monstrous '14. Now he's slated to have Mark Sanchez under center, and at 29, that 2014 season could be an afterthought. He's still a solid WR2 in fantasy, but expectations should be tempered.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders not worried about deal

Mon, 18 Apr 2016 19:30:02 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders is set to make $5.6 million in 2016, the final year of his contract. He said Monday, April 18, that he isn't worried about his contract and is focused on winning championships. "I mean this sincerely: The city of Denver has been really good to me," Sanders said. "I want to be a Bronco. I want to be a Bronco for a long time. I want to retire a Bronco. Hopefully everything works out. I'm sure both sides will come to something. We're going to see how it goes, but right now it's not about me. It's about this team and about winning championships, and that's what I'm focused on."

Fantasy Tip: Publicly that's what Sanders is saying, but privately it has to be a concern, especially since the team is expected to take a step back offensively with Peyton Manning riding off into the sunset, Brock Osweiler now in Houston and Mark Sanchez under center in the Mile High City. That's a major downgrade for a receiver in his contract season.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders won't face Josh Norman

Fri, 05 Feb 2016 09:53:35 -0800

Carolina Panthers CB Josh Norman said he doesn't expect to line up at all against Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders in Super Bowl 50. Norman is expected to cover Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas instead.

Fantasy Tip: Thomas has six catches for 52 yards in just two playoff games this year, and he's been plagued by costly drops throughout the year. However, he finished 2015 with 105 catches for 1,304 yards and six touchdowns, so he's still a top receiving talent. But it won't be easy against Norman, who is having an All-Pro season.

Broncos | Arm not an issue for Peyton Manning

Thu, 04 Feb 2016 12:06:25 -0800

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning has drawn much criticism for his declining arm strength, but at least one teammate doesn't see it that way. WR Emmanuel Sanders believes most of Manning's issues have been a result of the foot injury that sidelined him for most of the second half of the season. "It wasn't his arm. It was just his foot. Peyton's arm has always been good to me, in my eyes. He's never had a really, really strong arm. He's always been the guy that before you come out of your breaks, the ball is there," Sanders said.

Fantasy Tip: Manning's completion percentage has actually dipped from 59.8% in the regular season to 55.1 in the playoffs, but he has avoided the interceptions that dogged him throughout the first four months of the season. Another mistake-free game would go a long way in helping the Broncos upset the Carolina Panthers in what could be his final game in Super Bowl 50.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders has Pats' number

Sun, 24 Jan 2016 11:29:20 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders has caught 22 passes for 362 yards in Denver's last three games against the New England Patriots.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders really opens up the field for the Broncos, and he should have a few chances on some deep balls today against the Patriots. While it would behoove Denver to get their running game going, Sanders is still worth starting on FantasyScore, especially considering his recent success versus New England.

Broncos | Demaryius Thomas was shut down by Pats

Thu, 21 Jan 2016 09:58:49 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas had just one catch for 36 yards against New England Patriots CB Logan Ryan in Week 12. The matchup is expected to be the same for the AFC Championship game, and Patriots CB Malcolm Butler will likely match up against WR Emmanuel Sanders.

Fantasy Tip: Don't pass up the fact that Thomas ($8,100, 16.2% of cap) caught just one of his 13 targets in that game. He should have a better performance this time out, but it's still a tough draw, and Peyton Manning hasn't been his normal self all year. At a high FantasyScore price, Thomas isn't all that attractive.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders tries to stay hot

Tue, 19 Jan 2016 19:03:28 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders posted five receptions for 85 yards in the win over the Pittsburgh Steelers last week, now he'll face the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game Sunday, Jan. 24. The Pats allowed 240.7 yards per game through the air, ranking 17th in the NFL against the pass in the regular season.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders ($7,700, 15.4% of cap) has 67 or more yards in each of his past four games, including two touchdowns, and he had six grabs for 113 yards in the first meeting with the Patriots Nov. 29. If you're debating between Demaryius Thomas ($8,100, 16.2% of cap) and Sanders, remember the Pats coaching staff usually try to eliminate the top receiving threat. Do they consider Sanders or Thomas to be more dangerous? We'll find out Sunday, but last time they clamped down on Thomas and allowed Sanders to thrive.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders totals 99 yards

Sun, 03 Jan 2016 22:15:00 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders posted five catches for 99 yards in the Week 17 game against the San Diego Chargers. He was targeted eight times, and he lost a fumble.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders was a constant in the Denver offense down the stretch, posting 19 receptions for 347 yards with two touchdowns and a 24-yard run. He is a bona fide WR1 in FantasyScore for the team's first playoff game in two weeks.

Broncos | Denver's top two WRs probable

Fri, 01 Jan 2016 13:45:24 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas (hamstring) and WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Jan. 1, and are listed as probable for the Week 17 game against the San Diego Chargers.

Fantasy Tip: Thomas ($7,500, 15.0% of cap) and Sanders ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) have both surpassed the 1,000-yard mark this season and has posted decent numbers over the last few weeks. They will deal with a tough matchup this week but should still be starting options in most leagues.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders on the field

Thu, 31 Dec 2015 15:15:40 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 31.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) will have a solid role in the passing game this week and is coming off two straight games with a touchdown. Owners should consider using Sanders in their starting lineups because of his favorable matchup against the San Diego Chargers.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders practices fully

Wed, 30 Dec 2015 23:11:19 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) was listed as a full participant in practice Wednesday, Dec. 30.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) gets a crack at a Chargers pass defense which allow 51 pass plays of 20 or more yards this season. He is a good play at a fairly reasonable FantasyScore price.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders scores TD

Mon, 28 Dec 2015 22:28:25 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders caught four passes for 67 yards and one touchdown against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 16.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders caught four of his five targets during the game but has posted at least five catches in two of his last six games. Sanders has scored a touchdown in each of his last two games and could be a solid option for owners on Week 17 against the San Diego Chargers.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders makes 10 grabs

Sun, 20 Dec 2015 18:39:00 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders caught 10 passes for 181 yards and a touchdown in a 34-27 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 15.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders has been up and down of late. In his last four games, he has two 100-yard games and two games of less than 20 yards. Even if Peyton Manning returns, Sanders is a high-risk, high-reward play at FantasyScore.

Broncos | Demaryius Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders probable

Fri, 18 Dec 2015 15:15:26 -0800

Denver Broncos WRs Demaryius Thomas (non-injury) and Emmanuel Sanders (finger) both practiced in full Friday, Dec. 18, and are probable for Week 15 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Fantasy Tip: Thomas ($7,900, 15.8% of cap) has struggled with drops at times this year but remains an upper-echelon fantasy receiver that can take advantage of this great matchup if Brock Osweiler looks his way often. He's a better pick than Sanders ($6,700, 13.4% of cap), but Sanders also has the talent to reward daily gamers in this one, too.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders fully practices

Thu, 17 Dec 2015 15:36:09 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (finger) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 17.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders ($6,700, 13.4% of cap) likely will receive his normal workload against his old team in Week 15. He has recorded only 36 receiving yards in the past two weeks but should have a chance for bigger numbers against the Pittsburgh Steelers since they have had problems stopping opponents passing attacks. Sanders could be a decent starting option this week.

Broncos | Ronnie Hillman, Emmanuel Sanders practice

Wed, 16 Dec 2015 15:52:28 -0800

Denver Broncos RB Ronnie Hillman (foot) and WR Emmanuel Sanders (finger) both practiced in full Wednesday, Dec. 16.

Fantasy Tip: Hillman ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) hasn't done much with his carries in the last three weeks and faces a Pittsburgh Steelers defense whose strength is stopping the run. Even if C.J. Anderson sits again, Hillman is a bust candidate. Sanders ($6,700, 13.4% of cap) has just five catches in the last two games but is due for a breakout, and Pitt's secondary could provide him just that. He's a sneaky pick on FantasyScore.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders nearly invisible

Sun, 13 Dec 2015 22:18:01 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders posted just two grabs for 17 yards in the Week 14 game against the Oakland Raiders. He was targeted six times, and also credited with a lost fumble.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders has certainly had better days. He'll look to rebound against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 15, and he should find plenty of open spaces against his former team.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders, Owen Daniels probable

Fri, 11 Dec 2015 15:30:52 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle, finger) and TE Owen Daniels (knee) are listed as probable for Week 14 against the Oakland Raiders. Both Daniels and Sanders were full participants in practice Friday, Dec. 11.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) has been up and down lately as he deals with nagging injuries. But he's closer to full health finally and is facing a Raiders team that he exploded against early in the year. Trust him to put up a good game. Daniels ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) was more appealing with Peyton Manning under center and before Vernon Davis entered the picture.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders puts in full practice

Thu, 10 Dec 2015 16:48:02 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle, finger) practiced in full for the second straight day Thursday, Dec. 10.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) has been dealing with nagging injuries for much of the year but finally appears to be getting healthy again. He's been hit and miss with Brock Osweiler under center, but you have to think there's a good chance Sanders has a big game against the Oakland Raiders in Week 14. One of his three 100-yard games came against Oakland earlier this year. Start him with confidence.

Broncos | Emanuel Sanders listed as probable

Fri, 04 Dec 2015 14:08:34 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle, finger) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 4, and is listed as probable for the Week 13 game against the San Diego Chargers.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders ($7,500, 15.0% of cap) has played well no matter the quarterback this season and has posted at least 90 yards in four of his last five games. He should see plenty of targets during the game and could be a solid option in most leagues.

Broncos | Four Broncos have full practice

Thu, 03 Dec 2015 14:29:56 -0800

Denver Broncos RB Ronnie Hillman (tooth), QB Brock Osweiler (quadriceps) and WRs Emmanuel Sanders (ankle, finger) and Cody Latimer (non-injury) participated fully in practice Thursday, Dec. 3.

Fantasy Tip: It looks like most of the core of the Broncos' offense should be good to go against the San Diego Chargers this weekend. Osweiler ($7,200, 14.4% of cap) and the passing game have a tough task ahead of them, though, as the Chargers have been a better than average fantasy pass defense. Hillman ($5,600, 11.2%), however, makes for at least a nice flex start as San Diego has been porous against the run this year.

Broncos | Brock Osweiler, Emmanuel Sanders practice

Wed, 02 Dec 2015 15:02:04 -0800

Denver Broncos QB Brock Osweiler (quadriceps) and WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle, finger) both practiced in full Wednesday, Dec. 2.

Fantasy Tip: Osweiler ($7,200, 14.4% of cap) has looked good in his first two NFL starts, but temper your expectations in daily formats against a San Diego Chargers squad that has been much better against the pass than against the run this year. Sanders ($7,500, 15.0% of cap) had his third 100-yard game last week with Osweiler but also may struggle to justify his FantasyScore price in this matchup.

Sun, 29 Nov 2015 22:49:11 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle, finger) posted six receptions for 113 yards in the Week 12 game against the New England Patriots. He was targeted nine times.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders appeared on the injury report with ankle and finger injuries, but he did not have any setbacks and he was not slowed in the least. It appears safe to trust him in FantasyScore again.

Sun, 29 Nov 2015 16:55:36 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle, finger) is active for the Week 12 game against the New England Patriots despite an ankle and finger issue.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders will likely be able to find some open spaces against a so-so Patriots secondary, but remember he is operating with his backup QB Brock Osweiler.

Sun, 29 Nov 2015 07:46:25 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle, finger) is expected to be active for Week 12's game against the New England Patriots, according to multiple sources.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders ($7,500, 15.0% of cap) participated in a full practice Friday, Nov. 27, and in limited practices Wednesday, Nov. 25, and Thursday, Nov. 26. He should be viewed as a low-end WR1 in FantasyScore.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders, Owen Daniels probable

Fri, 27 Nov 2015 16:13:53 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle, finger) and TE Owen Daniels (knee) both practiced in full Friday, Nov. 27, and are probable against the New England Patriots in Week 12.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders ($7,500, 15.0% of cap) has had his mobility limited in recent weeks, and it's fair to wonder how effective he'll be in his first game with Brock Osweiler under center. They'll be facing a Patriots team that usually succeeds against inexperienced quarterbacks. Daniels' ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) fantasy stock is intriguing with Osweiler under center, but the young QB seems to favor Vernon Davis. The matchup isn't ideal, either, leaving Daniels as more of a deep sleeper.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders' participation in practice this week will be telling as to his recovery and availability. Needless to say, his status will need to be monitored all week. If he misses another game, Cody Latimer should see an uptick in targets.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders took day off

Wed, 18 Nov 2015 15:40:59 -0800

Updating a previous report, Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle, finger) would have practiced Wednesday, Nov. 18, had the team's practice not been moved indoors on turf due to high winds outside, according to head coach Gary Kubiak. "We gave him a day off of the turf," Kubiak said. "He took all of the walkthrough and everything, so I would expect him to do everything (when he returns)."

Fantasy Tip: It looks like Sanders ($7,500, 15.0% of cap) will be able to play barring a setback. But how limited will he be against the Chicago Bears? And how much chemistry does he have with Brock Osweiler? Those are questions you should ask if you're willing to take added risk and pay up for Sanders on FantasyScore.

Sun, 15 Nov 2015 11:49:59 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle, shoulder) is active for Week 10 against the Kansas City Chiefs, but he is not expected to see a large amount of snaps.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders ($7,800, 15.6% of cap) is a risky play today on FantasyScore, especially at a relatively high price. Demaryius Thomas ($8,400, 16.8%) should see the lion's share of targets, but Bennie Fowler ($2,000, 4.0%) is a decent sleeper option.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders' status remains uncertain

Sun, 15 Nov 2015 07:37:14 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle, shoulder) remains a "50-50, game-time decision" to play in Week 10's game against the Kansas City Chiefs, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders ($7,800, 15.6% of cap) did not practice at all during the week and FantasyScore owners should look elsewhere for receiving options, due to the fact that they will be playing a late afternoon game. WR Demaryius Thomas ($8,400, 16.8% of cap) and TE Owen Daniels ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) could be primed to have big games against a weak Kansas City secondary.

Broncos | Questionable tag for Emmanuel Sanders

Fri, 13 Nov 2015 13:40:17 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle, shoulder) hasn't practiced all week but is listed as questionable for Week 10 against the Kansas City Chiefs. Head coach Gary Kubiak said Sanders will likely be a game-time decision.

Fantasy Tip: Being a game-time decision in a late afternoon game, Sanders ($7,800, 15.6% of cap) becomes too much of a risk for FantasyScore owners. Demaryius Thomas ($8,400, 16.8% of cap) is worth spending up on now against a porous Chiefs secondary. Owen Daniels ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) could have another big day, too.
