Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders leads the way

Mon, 13 Nov 2017 05:27:46 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders had six catches for a game-high 137 yards in the Week 10 loss to the New England Patriots.

Fantasy Tip: The yardage was nearly double his previous season high in what has been a disappointing year. He's still a solid WR3 in fantasy against the Cincinnati Bengals next week.

Sat, 11 Nov 2017 21:45:37 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) is expected to play against the New England Patriots in Week 10, according to a source.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders still questionable

Fri, 10 Nov 2017 11:05:29 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) is listed as questionable on the injury report in advance of the team's game versus the New England Patriots in Week 10.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders was upgraded to a full practice Thursday, so he's about as much of a lock to play Sunday night as players with questionable tags can be. Although he gets a plus-matchup against the New England Patriots, Brock Osweiler's presence as the starting quarterback likely leaves Sanders as a WR3 in fantasy with a limited ceiling.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders logs full practice

Thu, 09 Nov 2017 16:16:28 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) practiced in full Thursday, Nov. 9, one day after he was a limited participant.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders made his return to action in last week's blowout loss to the Eagles and didn't contribute much, garnering just a single 30-yard reception, but this news would seem to indicate he's getting back closer to full health. However, with Brock Osweiler under center now, he's merely a WR3 for the moment.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders limited in practice

Wed, 08 Nov 2017 16:02:02 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Nov. 8.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders made his way back from an ankle injury last week, but he managed just one grab. He is a risky fantasy play on Sunday Night Football, as the quarterback play in Denver has been shoddy lately and it's not known if he is quite 100 percent. Start him at your own risk.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders posts just one grab

Sun, 05 Nov 2017 18:00:11 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) was limited to one catch for 30 yards on five targets in Week 9 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Fantasy Tip: The good news was that Sanders was back after missing the past two outings, but the bad news was his return meant very little to the overall success of the Broncos offense. He remains more of a WR3 heading into Week 10 when the Patriots come calling.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders to play in Week 9

Sun, 05 Nov 2017 05:49:00 -0800

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) will play in Week 9's game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders was a limited practice participant throughout the week and had been listed as questionable on the injury report after missing the previous two games with a sprained right ankle. Although the Eagles' passing defense is ranked 27th in the NFL, Sanders makes a risky fantasy play because of the Broncos' less-than-ideal quarterback situation, combined with the possibility that he could see limited snaps. Don't trust him as anything more than a WR3 this afternoon.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders limited in practice

Fri, 03 Nov 2017 13:57:24 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) was listed as a limited participant in practice Friday, Nov. 3, and he is questionable for the Week 9 game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders is a risky fantasy play since he hasn't yet been able to practice on a full basis. It might be tempting to use him against the league's 27th ranked passing defense, but only do so out of desperation. He still might end up inactive on Sunday, so check back on game day for the latest.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders questionable for Week 9

Fri, 03 Nov 2017 10:41:54 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) is listed as questionable on the injury report for Week 9 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders is expected to start after getting in a limited week of practice after missing the past two games with a sprained ankle he suffered in Week 6. In his absence, the Broncos' offense has bottomed out and turned to Brock Osweiler, meaning it will be difficult to trust Sanders as much more than a WR3.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders should return

Thu, 02 Nov 2017 13:20:20 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) is expected to return to action this week against the Philadelphia Eagles, according to head coach Vance Joseph.

Fantasy Tip: The Broncos need Sanders back in a big way for their passing offense, especially with a new starting quarterback. It will be hard to bench Sanders in a favorable matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles secondary, but don't expect as much from him coming off the injury on the road with a different quarterback.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders practices Wednesday

Wed, 01 Nov 2017 11:30:00 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) returned to practice Wednesday, Nov. 1, for the first time since suffering an ankle injury in Week 6 and is expected to suit up for Week 9 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Fantasy Tip: While Trevor Siemian's poor recent play hasn't helped matters, it's probably not a coincidence the Broncos' offense has went into the tank with Sanders missing the last two games and part of a third. Whether or not Brock Osweiler makes a difference is debatable, but Sanders will be remain a high-end WR3 at worst as a receiver who should receive at least seven targets on a weekly basis.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders expects to return soon

Mon, 30 Oct 2017 16:51:02 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) believes he will be able to play against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 9.

Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to keep an eye on Sanders' practice participation next week to see if he has a chance to play. Sanders is a solid fantasy option when he is healthy and can be a No. 2 or No. 3 receiver if he plays next week.

Sat, 28 Oct 2017 13:35:36 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) did not participate in practice Saturday, Oct. 28, and is listed as questionable for Week 8.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders missed all three days of practice this week, but owners will need to check the inactive list since he is questionable. Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders questionable for Week 8

Sat, 28 Oct 2017 10:28:26 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) has yet to practice and is listed as questionable on the injury report for Week 8 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Fantasy Tip: Despite the very good matchup, owners should not be counting on Sanders this week, especially considering the Broncos play on Monday night. Demaryius Thomas should be the clear leader of the pack at receiver this week, although Bennie Fowler and even Jordan Taylor could be worthwhile emergency fantasy starts for owners trying to get through the bye-week crunch.

Fantasy Tip: It's hard to envision Sanders playing in Monday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs, but he hasn't been ruled out yet. We'll have the official injury report on Saturday for you, but it's a good idea to plan to be without the veteran again in Week 8.

Broncos | No practice for Emmanuel Sanders

Thu, 26 Oct 2017 11:54:13 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) did not practice Thursday, Oct. 26.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders seems to be a long shot to play on Monday night, even with the extra day of rest. Assuming Sanders is sidelined, Bennie Fowler enters the sleeper realm for the second straight week coming off a five-catch, 45-yard outing in Week 7.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders now day-to-day

Mon, 23 Oct 2017 13:04:28 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) has been upgraded to day-to-day after being considered week-to-week. Sanders was sidelined for Week 7 with a sprained ankle.

Fantasy Tip: Don't expect Sanders to suddenly be full go this week just because he's day-to-day. The first step will be to string together some limited practices. If the Broncos determine that Sanders needs to rest more, then Bennie Fowler will serve as a deep sleeper for the second straight week.

Denver Broncos WR Bennie Fowler is expected to serve as the No. 2 receiver against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 7 with WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) sidelined.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders still sidelined at practice

Thu, 19 Oct 2017 16:17:58 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) missed another practice Thursday, Oct. 19.

Fantasy Tip: No surprise, as Sanders has already been ruled out for this weekend's matchup opposite the Chargers. Demaryius Thomas figures to see even more looks than usual, and might end up being one of the strongest DFS options at wide receiver. Additionally, Bennie Fowler will be a nice sleeper candidate for Week 7, as he could see around 10 targets on Sunday.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders will miss Week 7

Mon, 16 Oct 2017 11:57:23 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) will be sidelined next week with a sprained ankle, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: That's more on the side of good news since the hit on Sanders looked a good deal worse Sunday night. With Sanders out, Bennie Fowler will assume the No. 2 wide receiver position opposite Demaryius Thomas. Fowler is a deep sleeper in standard leagues, but starting him versus the Los Angeles Chargers might be getting too cute.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders to have MRI

Mon, 16 Oct 2017 05:06:56 -0700

Updating previous reports, Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) will have an MRI Monday, Oct. 16, on his injured right ankle. X-rays were negative.

Fantasy Tip: Outside of his two-TD game in Week 2, Sanders has been pretty meh with a 25-266-2 line on the season. With Trevor Siemian (shoulder) also banged up, Sanders doesn't look like a good WR3 play against the Los Angeles Chargers next week.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders targeted 15 times

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 15:03:04 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders racked up seven receptions for 75 yards on 15 targets in Week 3 at Buffalo.

Fantasy Tip: Trevor Siemian looked the way of Sanders early and often, perhaps too often. A couple of times he tried to force it into the veteran and had miscues. It's nice for fantasy owners to see Sanders getting so many looks. He remains a solid WR2 in all fantasy leagues heading into Week 4 against the visiting Raiders.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders scores twice

Sun, 17 Sep 2017 20:44:14 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders posted six receptions for 62 yards and a pair of touchdowns in Week 1 against Dallas on eight targets.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders had a big game thanks to a Dallas secondary missing Orlando Scandrick. Things should tighten up considerably against the Bills on the road in Week 3.

Broncos | Denver WRs facing banged up secondary

Fri, 15 Sep 2017 16:00:23 -0700

Denver Broncos WRs Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders will be facing a banged up Dallas Cowboys secondary in Week 2 since CB Orlando Scandrick (hand) and CB Chido Awuzie (hamstring) are dealing with injuries. CB Anthony Brown replaced Scandrick as the nickel back in Week 1 and Awuzie was starting opposite CB Nolan Carroll. FS Byron Jones (groin) is also listed as questionable for the game.

Fantasy Tip: Thomas and Sanders likely receive more targets in Week 2 because of the injuries to Dallas' secondary and will look to post better numbers than they did in Week 1. Thomas should be considered at least a No. 2 receiver in most leagues, while Sanders can be a No. 2 or No. 3 fantasy receiver.

The driver of the other car was also unharmed, and police cited both drivers for careless driving. Sanders practiced in full after the accident.

Fantasy Tip: The veteran was lucky to escape unharmed, although the police report stated his SUV was traveling no more than 35 mph at the time of the accident. He remains a so-so WR3 in fantasy drafts.

Sat, 19 Aug 2017 14:07:08 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (shoulder) is not expected to play in the preseason game against San Francisco 49ers Saturday, Aug. 19.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders did not practice this week and probably will be held out until the third preseason game. He has played well in each of the last three seasons and should be considered a No. 3 receiver in fantasy leagues no matter the starting quarterback.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders does not practice

Thu, 17 Aug 2017 17:15:13 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (shoulder) did not participate in practice Thursday, Aug. 17.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders probably will miss the second preseason game, and owners will need to keep an eye out for a timetable for his return. He has posted at least 1,000 yards in each of his three seasons with the Broncos and should have similar success no matter the starting quarterback. He should be seen as a No. 3 receiver in all fantasy leagues.

Wed, 16 Aug 2017 13:14:36 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (shoulder) left practice early Wednesday, Aug. 16, after falling on his shoulder. Head coach Vance Joseph indicated that the injury is not serious, however.

Fantasy Tip: Keep tabs on Sanders' injury as the season nears, but for now his fantasy value is unchanged. He remains a viable WR3 even with a subpar quarterback situation.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders has QB timetable

Wed, 12 Jul 2017 17:40:33 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders said he would like to know the team's starting quarterback now if he was up to him but understands that the coaching staff will make the decision when they are ready. Sanders said it would be easier to build chemistry with the starting quarterback if he were able to practice with him all of the time.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders should be productive no matter the quarterback because he has posted at least 1,000 yards in each of the last three seasons. He should be a solid No. 3 fantasy receiver in 2017 as long as he stays healthy.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders feels energized

Tue, 11 Jul 2017 13:46:50 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders has made some changes this offseason, including his diet. Sanders admitted that he was eating poorly but has been listening to his body more and physically feels like a rookie again.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders is going for a fourth straight season of at least 1,000 yards and five touchdowns. Those are attainable numbers in 201, especially with offensive coordinator Mike McCoy back in Denver. Sanders is worthy of WR3 consideration despite subpar quarterback play.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders happy with either QB

Mon, 10 Jul 2017 16:23:32 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders said he believes he can produce with either QB Trevor Siemian or QB Paxton Lynch as the starter because they throw catchable passes. "Both of those guys throw catchable passes," Sanders said. "When it comes to the deep ball, Paxton loves to throw the deep ball. Big, strong arm. Trevor, he loves to throw the out routes, the in-routes. He's a checkdown, all-around type guy."

Fantasy Tip: Sanders posted 1,032 yards with Siemian and Lynch last season and should be able to post similar numbers again in 2017 no matter which quarterback starts. He was posted at least 1,000 yards in each of the last three seasons and can be a low-end No. 2 or a No. 3 receiver in fantasy leagues.

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders finished with one catch on three targets for 26 yards in a 33-10 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday, Dec. 25.

Fantasy Tip: Sanders has been a bit inconsistent over the last few weeks but has posted at least 100 yards in two of his last four games. He has been targeted at least eight times in seven of the last eight games and can be a solid No. 2 receiver in a majority of fantasy leagues.
