Drew Rosenhaus, agent for Carolina Panthers DE Greg Hardy, recently contacted the Panthers about the possibility of a contract extension. Hardy is entering the final year of his current contract.

Carolina Panthers DE Greg Hardy and LB Thomas Davis will have his 2013 base salary increase because of incentives in their contracts. Hardy's salary will go from $630,000 to $1.35 million while Davis' salary will go from $1 million to $1.5 million.

Carolina Panthers DE Greg Hardy was fined $25,000 for an illegal hit on a quarterback last week. Panthers S Charles Godfrey was fined $21,000 for hitting a defenseless receiver in the head. Both will appeal.
