New York Jets WR Eric Decker is having a positive influence on the team's younger receivers, according to wide receivers coach Sanjay Lal. "In fact, I was showing one of the younger guys a clip, saying, 'You should run the route like this,'" Lal said. "He didn't quite realize who it was. And he said, 'Oh, that's Decker?' We joked about it. I said, 'Now you're going to run it like that? Because you saw Decker do it?' He was, like, 'Yep.' It was like, 'OK.'"

New York Jets offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg believes the team's receiving corps is extremely deep and has more than a handful of guys who can play at a real high level.
Fantasy Tip: Eric Decker is a potential WR3 and the only Jets' receiver to count on for weekly contributions. Jeremy Kerley, Stephen Hill and David Nelson will battle for targets behind Decker, but none are worth more than a late-round pick.

New York Jets QB Geno Smith and WR Eric Decker appear to be developing some nice chemistry in the first day of mandatory minicamp Tuesday, June 17.
Fantasy Tip: It's way early in offseason workouts, but it's a good sign that Smith and Decker are on the same page already. Decker will be the Jets' go-to receiver this year. The maturation of Smith will directly influence how productive Decker can be this year.

New York Jets WR Stephen Hill could start opposite WR Eric Decker in 2014, in the opinion of Rich Cimini of ESPN New York. The battle for the No. 2 wide receiver could come down to Hill and WR David Nelson.

New York Jets WR Eric Decker is clearly a go-to guy and will be valuable in critical situations, according to head coach Rex Ryan.
Fantasy Tip: Decker has also clearly lost some fantasy value after moving to New York from Denver. He still remains at least a viable flex option and could be a decent low-end WR2 in standard leagues.

New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan believes the team's offense is looking up and has more weapons with the additions of WR Eric Decker and TE Jace Amaro.

New York Jets WR Eric Decker will receive a $7.5 million signing bonus plus guaranteed base salaries of $2.5 million in 2014. His salary cap hits will be $4 million this year, $6.5 million in 2015, $8 million in 2016, $8.75 million in 2017 and $9 million in 2018.

Wed, 12 Mar 2014 20:26:30 -0700
The New York Jets have agreed to terms with free-agent WR Eric Decker (Jets) Wednesday, March 12. Terms of the deal were undisclosed.
Fantasy Tip: Decker had tremendous fantasy value with Peyton Manning as his quarterback in Denver, but it is hard to believe he will not take a step backward in terms of fantasy appeal unless Geno Smith takes a giant step forward, regardless if Decker is considered the No. 1 receiver on his team or not. He should still not be drafted any higher than a WR3 in most formats.
