Philadelphia Eagles CB Eric Rowe is projected to be the No. 2 starting cornerback opposite CB Leodis McKelvin, in the opinion of ESPN.com's Phil Sheridan. Sheridan also said that it would not be a surprise if CB Nolan Carroll wins the No. 2 cornerback job.

CB Eric Rowe may also compete for the job, but the coaching staff does not appear to be high on him. Rowe probably will need a strong training camp if he wants to receive playing time in 2016.

Philadelphia Eagles CB Nolan Carroll believes defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz's new 4-3 defensive scheme is much simpler than the defense they used last year. "Corners, for us, it's man-to-man, we're pressed up," Carroll said. "We know we have deep safety help and we just have to get the job done at the line. The guys up front, our D-line, he just tells them to rush. There's no two-gapping, there's none of that stuff. Our defense is built around our D-line and then getting after the quarterback and disrupting timing, and our linebackers are cleaning everything up."

Updating a previous item, Philadelphia Eagles CB Nolan Carroll agreed to a one-year deal with a base value of $2.36 million Tuesday, March 15, according to a source involved with the deal. The deal could be worth as much as $3 million. Carroll has a good chance of regaining his starting role.
