St. Louis Rams OT Rodger Saffold said he has been working on improving as a right tackle during organized team activities and has not faced much of a transition in moving from left tackle to right tackle. "It's just a matter of getting used to it, the muscle memory, the change in stance," Saffold said. "Honestly, it hasn't been as hard as I thought it was going to be. As far as the smaller details, that's what I'm constantly working on. It's just the second day out here, so I just want to continue to work and to learn."

The St. Louis Rams are not interested in trading OT Rodger Saffold and believe that he will be a part of the team for a long time.

The St. Louis Rams are not believed to be interested in trading OT Rodger Saffold at this point. The team could be willing to trade Saffold if they take an offensive tackle in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft.

Sources close to St. Louis Rams OT Rodger Saffold said he doesn't intend to hold out due to his impending switch to right tackle. Saffold will participate in the team's official offseason conditioning program, despite participation being voluntary. He's in the final year of his rookie contract.

St. Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher said he has not talked with OT Rodger Saffold since the team has signed OT Jake Long, but expects things to work out next season.

St. Louis Rams general manager Les Snead said OT Rodger Saffold has played right tackle before but will meet with Saffold to talk about his position. "So we'll sit down and discuss that internally with the player and even his agent. But Rodger's a team player and he's young. If he comes in and consistently plays like he did at the end of last year, Rodger will be fine and we'll be better," Snead said. Snead said the team has not decided if Saffold or OT Jake Long will play at left tackle.
