Packers | Pack no longer interested in Ed Dickson

Tue, 13 Mar 2018 20:29:30 -0700

The Green Bay Packers are no longer interested in free-agent TE Ed Dickson (Panthers) after landing TE Jimmy Graham.

Fantasy Tip: Dickson was the fallback option if Graham did not agree to join the team. That's quite a fall back. Dickson will latch on with another organization, but he is more of a backup and not a primary tight end. His fantasy value will be negligible again in 2018 barring any unforeseen circumstances.

Dolphins | Ed Dickson, Trey Burton on Miami's radar

Wed, 07 Mar 2018 15:25:30 -0800

Carolina Panthers impending free-agent TE Ed Dickson and Philadelphia Eagles impending free-agent TE Trey Burton are expected to receive interest from the Miami Dolphins during free agency.

Fantasy Tip: The Dolphins likely will be losing two tight ends this offseason, so Burton and Dickson could be starting options for them. Burton would have more fantasy value if he signs with the Dolphins and could be a low-end No. 1 fantasy tight end, while Dickson likely would be a No. 2 tight end.

Panthers | Ed Dickson gets first TD of 2017

Mon, 13 Nov 2017 21:22:06 -0800

Carolina Panthers TE Ed Dickson scored his first touchdown of the season, while hauling in three of five targets for 33 yards in the team's Week 10 win Monday, Nov. 13, against the Miami Dolphins.

Fantasy Tip: Since Greg Olsen went down with injury, Dickson has emerged into a decent tight end option for deeper formats. In fact, he's garnered five or more targets in five of the last six weeks, though he's only got one touchdown to show for it. As a result, he's not someone to lean on in standard leagues, though he's not a bad streaming option either in such scenarios.

Panthers | Ed Dickson blanked in Week 9

Sun, 05 Nov 2017 14:21:32 -0800

Carolina Panthers TE Ed Dickson was targeted twice in Week 9 against the Atlanta Falcons, but he went without a reception.

Fantasy Tip: Dickson blew up for 175 yards in Week 5 in Detroit, but he has managed just 11 receptions for 78 yards on 20 targets over the past four games. That's more like what you can expect from Dickson, which is not much. Greg Olsen cannot return soon enough from a foot injury for Cam Newton and the Cats.
