Oakland Raiders OT Jared Veldheer will receive an increase in his base salary in 2013 because of incentives in his contract. Veldheer will go from $630,000 to $1.323 million.

Oakland Raiders DT Desmond Bryant (elbow), RB Mike Goodson (toe), DE Matt Shaughnessy (shoulder), OT Willie Smith (ankle), OL Jared Veldheer (elbow) and OG Stefen Wisniewski (ankle) were each able to practice fully Friday, Nov. 2. All six players are considered probable for Week 9 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

After the release of OG Cooper Carlisle Wednesday, March 14, the Oakland Raiders have only two starting offensive linemen from last season under contract - OT Jared Veldheer and OG Stefen Wisniewski .

Oakland Raiders PK Sebastian Janikowski, P Shane Lechler, DL Richard Seymour, OT Jared Veldheer and OG Stefen Wisniewski are the only players who could be described as safe on the team's roster. QB Carson Palmer is also expected to return in 2012.

Oakland Raiders OT Jared Veldheer turned in a solid effort in Week 11 by not allowing Minnesota Vikings DL Jared Allen to record a sack. Allen had recorded at least a half-sack in each game this season. Veldheer committed just one holding penalty in the game, but it prevented Allen from getting to QB Carson Palmer.

Oakland Raiders OT Jared Veldheer doesn't like when the team gives him help, although head coach Hue Jackson said there are times when mixing up things is important in the overall scheme, whether Veldheer needs it or not. "Sometimes, we've left him out there, sometimes we help, sometimes we chip, we do a little bit of it all, because you have to be multiple in pass protections," Jackson said.

Oakland Raiders OT Khalif Barnes (shoulder) and C Samson Satele (knee) were riding exercise bikes as the team went through warmups for practice Tuesday, Nov. 8. If Barnes and Satele are both unable to play, the line is likely to consist of OT Stephon Heyer at right tackle, OG Cooper Carlisle at right guard, C Stefen Wisniewski at center, OT Joseph Barksdale at left guard and Jared Veldheer at left tackle.
