Buffalo Bills head coach Chan Gailey indicated RBs Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller likely will share carries next season and neither will get a majority of the carries. "I wouldn't call it 50-50, but it's closer to 50-50 than it ever has been because (Spiller's) more confident and we have more confidence in him having experience now," said Gailey. "To me it's a win-win for everybody except them individually. It's a win-win for the team. It's a win-win for setting up game plans and for us making it through the season healthy. It's not a win-win for each of them individually because neither one of them will get the ball as much as they want to."

Buffalo Bills RB C.J. Spiller said he will be comfortable sharing duties with RB Fred Jackson (leg) next season. However, Spiller also considers himself a secret weapon as a backup. "It's like having a diamond in the rough on the sideline," Spiller said. "We know that we've got a good one-two punch, if possibly the best one-two punch in the NFL, if we know how to use it."

Buffalo Bills RB C.J. Spiller said he was not surprised with the success he had over the second half of the season. "I think the coaches knew all along what I was capable of doing," Spiller said. General manager Buddy Nix added, "Everybody's been surprised, I guess, about C.J. except us. We always knew, I think, what we had ... With C.J., the opportunity is what he needed and he got it when Fred got hurt and he's what we thought he'd be."

Buffalo Bills head coach Chan Gailey said Tuesday, Dec. 20, that he does not want to overwork RB C.J. Spiller. "He really didn't play the whole first half, the whole two-thirds of the season. I don't want to put 25-30 carries on him right now," Gailey said. "At some point, he may get 25-30 carries, but if he's going to be involved in the passing game, he's going to touch it 15-20 times and that's what he needs to do."
