Pass coverage is one of the adjustments the Kansas City Chiefs' coaching staff has made early in the season because of the injury to SS Eric Berry (knee). "We're not playing as much man-to-man; with (injured) Eric Berry, he was the margin of error for a lot of people," head coach Todd Haley said. "We're trying to play to our strengths and with him out, it's less man coverage."

Buffalo Bills head coach Chan Gailey said Monday, Sept. 12, that WR Stevie Johnson's cut block which led the Kansas City Chiefs SS Eric Berry (knee) suffering a season-ending injury was a clean play. "It was a clean block," Gailey said. "We tell our guys, 'You go block those guys.' Because let me tell you, if you're up in the air they're not going to hesitate to get you and take a shot at you because they're trying to separate you from the ball. That's an opportunity for our receivers to go down the field and hit those guys. It's legal. It happened in front of me on the sideline in front of an official."

Kansas City Chiefs SS Eric Berry said he felt worn out at the end of the season because he played every defensive snap. Berry said he did not have a problem with the workload he received during the season and he would not ask for less playing time.
