49ers | Mike Iupati did not improve dramtically in 2011

San Francisco 49ers OG Mike Iupati did not show tremendous improvement in his second season in the NFL in 2011, although the lack of an offseason program likely did not help. Iupati was still solid, but this offseason should prove beneficial for Iupati, as he'll have a chance to work on the intricacies of offensive line play under coaches Mike Solari and Tim Drevno. Iupati will also get a chance to work alongside Pro Bowl OT Joe Staley, learning the teamwork aspect of the position.

San Francisco 49ers OG Mike Iupati (ankle) suffered a right ankle injury in the first quarter of the NFC Championship Game against the New York Giants Sunday, Jan. 22. He was blocking and RB Kendall Hunter was tackled into the back of Iupati's legs. He attempted to come back after having his ankle re-taped, but left again and headed for the locker room.

San Francisco 49ers OG Mike Iupati (knee), LB Navorro Bowman (neck), WR Michael Crabtree (feet), S Dashon Goldson (knee), OG Adam Snyder (forearm), DL Isaac Sopoaga (infection), CB Shawntae Spencer (toe) and WR Ted Ginn Jr. (finger) are listed as probable for Week 6. Iupati did not practice Friday, Oct. 14, and Ginn practiced in full. All the others were limited in practice.
