Updating a previous report, New York Jets CB Darrelle Revis (knee) will need to undergo season-ending surgery for a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. Revis will have to wait two or three weeks before having surgery. Rehab for an ACL tear is usually between six and nine months. CB Kyle Wilson will replace Revis at the cornerback position opposite CB Antonio Cromartie.

"I'm not giving anybody a hometown discount," Cromartie said. Harris will likely command in excess of $10 million a year, but he is the top priority on defense. Cromartie was arguably the team's best defensive player during the first half of the season, and the Jets gave up a second-round draft pick to obtain him. In addition, the prospect of starting CB Kyle Wilson, who struggled mightily during his rookie season, as the No. 2 corner across from CB Darrelle Revis next year only heightens Cromartie's value.
