Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill said he is not tipping off plays to opposing defenses after fans noticed in the Week 11 game that he would shout "go" before passes and "go go" before running plays. ESPN analyst Jon Gruden also suggested OG John Jerry tipped off plays by turning to look at Tannehill on passing plays. "I don't think there's concern," Tannehill said. "We go against our defense every day throughout camp and OTAs. If we were tipping off something that was so blatantly obvious, they would tell us, and they would be able to defend it."

Updating a previous report, several Miami Dolphins players, including OT Tyson Clabo, WR Brian Hartline, DT John Jerry, DT Paul Soliai, DT Randy Starks and QB Ryan Tannehill came to the defense of embattled OG Richie Incognito Wednesday, Nov. 6. "We're just trying to help clear Richie's name," Starks said. "Whatever was said, I'm sure wasn't meant that way. (Incognito and OT Jonathan Martin) are good friends. Richie's a good teammate. Jon Martin was a good teammate. I just think everything's gotten blown out of proportion."

Miami Dolphins OG John Jerry is looking to earn his spot back in the starting lineup in 2012. He filled in during the Week 15 game in place of the injured OT Jake Long (back). It was his first career start at left tackle. "The biggest thing about John is he's physical, and he likes to compete," interim coach Todd Bowles said Tuesday, Dec. 20. Jerry also played 40 sacks in Week 14 against the Philadelphia Eagles, and was the only offensive lineman to grade out positively.
