Minnesota Vikings WR Joe Webb said he is fine with moving from quarterback to wide receiver but expects it to take some times to get comfortable at the position. "I'm doing real good. I still have a long ways to go, but I'm getting better every day and that's all you can do. I just take it one step at a time, one day at a time, one play at a time, and hopefully it can turn out as a success," Webb said.

Minnesota Vikings WR Cordarrelle Patterson will be given an opportunity to earn a starting wide receiver spot across from WR Greg Jennings this year, according to head coach Leslie Frazier. WR Joe Webb will be insurance in case Patterson doesn't pan out.
Fantasy Tip: It's tough to predict Patterson's fantasy value heading into his rookie season. Aside from Greg Jennings, Christian Ponder doesn't have much to work with at wideout, and Kyle Rudolph will remain a big target in the passing game. Patterson is a bit of a project and will have to improve his route-running skills dramatically to make an impact immediately. Consider him a late-round flier in deep leagues.

Minnesota Vikings QB Joe Webb said the team has not told him what position he will play during offseason workouts but will be willing to move to wide receiver if asked. "Yeah, I'm comfortable," Webb said. "Whatever it is to help the team. I'm a team player. So, as long as I get on the field. I'm excited to get on the field this year. Hopefully, we can make that happen. But in the meantime, whatever they ask me to do, I'm going to do it."

"But it looks like, if I am going to receiver, I'm doing a lot more work at it so I can work on my craft at receiver since I haven't been there since, what, 2010 when I first got drafted?"

However, if he goes into a protracted slump like last season, the coaching staff could be inclined to take a look at QB Matt Cassel, who will make $3.7 million this season even if he doesn't take a snap. Cassel fits the system of offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave better than QB Joe Webb, who is expected to serve as the third QB.
