Seahawks | Setback for Jimmy Graham

Thu, 29 Sep 2016 17:42:52 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (back, knee) did not practice Thursday, Sept. 29.

Fantasy Tip: Graham is a potential TE1 candidate if he suits up in Week 4, but have a backup plan in place in case his back injury doesn't improve.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham limited

Wed, 28 Sep 2016 16:42:17 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 28.

Fantasy Tip: Graham recorded 100 yards in the team's Week 3 game and may be on his way back to being a No. 1 tight end in fantasy leagues again. Owners may want to see him play well again before using him in their lineups, but he could be a low-end No. 1 tight end in deeper leagues.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham practices in full

Fri, 23 Sep 2016 18:57:30 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) was a full participant in practice Friday, Sept. 23, and was not listed on the injury report for Week 3 against the San Francisco 49ers.

Fantasy Tip: Graham was more involved in Week 2 than in Week 1, but he has yet to show he is worthy of TE1 status. Leave him on the bench against the 49ers.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham practices in full

Thu, 22 Sep 2016 21:49:42 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Sept. 22.

Fantasy Tip: Graham's role expanded a bit in Week 2, but he still isn't producing TE1 numbers. He remains a stash candidate for now.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham OK after more work

Wed, 21 Sep 2016 21:37:03 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) was able to play 53 snaps in the Week 2 game against the Los Angeles Rams, a significant jump in play compared to Week 1. Head coach Pete Carroll said Graham was fine after the increase.

Fantasy Tip: Graham managed three receptions for 42 yards in Week 2, so he is still far from being a TE1 in most fantasy leagues. Still, he is worth monitoring over the next game or two, and if you have the roster flexibility he isn't a bad option to stash away for the middle and end of the season.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham limited

Wed, 21 Sep 2016 17:44:29 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 21.

Fantasy Tip: Graham was more involving the offense in Week 2 and finished with three catches for 42 yards. He should be active for the team's Week 3 game, but owners may have better options to use at tight end.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham holding up well

Tue, 20 Sep 2016 09:18:05 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham reported feeling "like a beast" when asked how he felt physically following his team's loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 2. Graham saw a huge increase in snaps in Week 2, participating in 82 percent of the team's offensive plays (55 snaps) after playing only 21 percent overall (17) in Week 1.

Fantasy Tip: Even though owners would like to see more than his three catches for 42 yards in Week 2, the spike in playing time is obviously a good sign for all parties involved. It's important to remember he's still working his way back from one of the most serious injuries (torn patellar tendon) an athlete can suffer, so there will likely be bumps in the road. Graham should be considered a TE2 until further notice.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham feeling fine

Sun, 18 Sep 2016 18:15:24 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) said Sunday, Sept. 18, after the Week 2 game against the Los Angeles Rams that he feels fine physically. "I think I'm back earlier than everybody thought I'd be," Graham said.

Fantasy Tip: Graham posted three receptions for 42 yards on four targets. While he might be feeling fine, he is still more of a TE2 in most fantasy formats at this time.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham practices in full

Fri, 16 Sep 2016 17:23:58 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 16, and is not on the injury report for Week 2.

Fantasy Tip: Graham probably will see more snaps in Week 2 and could be more involved in the passing game after catching just one pass in Week 1. Owners should consider Graham as a No. 2 tight end and could keep him on the bench if they have better options to use.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham expected to play more Week 2

Fri, 16 Sep 2016 14:37:16 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) is "ready to play in all situations (Week 2 versus the Los Angeles Rams)", according to head coach Pete Carroll.

Fantasy Tip: Graham was limited to 17 snaps in the opener and should be expected to see only a modest increase on that versus the Rams. Seattle is going to take its time with working him back into a full-time role if only to avoid the complications that typically come along with torn patellar tendons. Until he sees a full complement of snaps, owners should view Graham as a TE2.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham a full participant

Thu, 15 Sep 2016 19:20:50 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Sept. 15.

Fantasy Tip: Graham was a non-factor in Week 1, and while he is worth stashing, it will likely be several more weeks before he is a viable starting option.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham practices in full

Wed, 14 Sep 2016 18:49:49 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) was listed as a full participant in practice Wednesday, Sept. 14.

Fantasy Tip: Graham started out a bit slowly in Week 1 with just one grab for 11 yards, but it was rather miraculous he could play at all after a severe patellar tendon injury just last season. He is a wait-and-see fantasy option, and if he can return to his pre-injury form he might be a steal for those who drafted him late or grab him off the waiver wire.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham will play in Week 1

Sun, 11 Sep 2016 12:01:49 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) is officially active for the team's Week 1 game.

Fantasy Tip: Graham did not see much playing time during the preseason, so he could be limited in Week 1. He will be a risky option for owners since he is returning from a serious injury but could still be considered a low-end No. 1 tight end in deeper leagues.

Seahawks | Luke Willson could see increased role

Sun, 11 Sep 2016 06:19:31 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Luke Willson will likely see an increased role in the offense during Week 1's game against the Miami Dolphins Sunday, Sept. 11, since TE Jimmy Graham (knee) is expected to play a limited number of snaps.

Fantasy Tip: Willson had just 17 receptions for 213 yards and one touchdown in 14 games (seven starts) last season and did not have more than two catches in any given contest, so he should not be viewed as a great fantasy option Sunday.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham expected to play

Fri, 09 Sep 2016 17:36:02 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) has done everything the team has asked of him during practice and is expected to play in Week 1, according to head coach Pete Carroll.

Fantasy Tip: Graham could receive limited snaps since he did not see any playing time during training camp. He will be a risky option for Week 1 because of the injury, so owners may want to see him play in a game before considering him a starting option.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham questionable

Fri, 09 Sep 2016 16:51:53 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 9, and is listed as questionable for Week 1.

Fantasy Tip: Graham likely will be able to play in Week 1 after practicing all week without limitations. He could receive limited snaps since he is coming off a serious knee injury but has a chance to be a low-end No. 1 tight end in some deeper leagues.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham a full participant

Thu, 08 Sep 2016 20:20:26 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Sept. 8.

Fantasy Tip: Graham is a risky play in Week 1 coming off a knee injury, but there is no denying he has TE1 potential. He is a great stash candidate at a position that lacks a lot of elite options.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham looks good for Week 1

Wed, 07 Sep 2016 21:01:10 -0700

Updating a previous report, Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) practiced in full Wednesday, Sept. 7, and head coach Pete Carroll reiterated things are looking good for Graham to play in the Week 1 game against the Miami Dolphins. "His chances are the same. They're good," Carroll said. "Just more of the same. The comfort to go full out with everything we're doing. Responding from those days and feeling good about it. Us feeling good about him feeling good about it as well."

Fantasy Tip: Graham slipped on draft day in all fantasy leagues, but if he can rebound and perform to his pre-injury levels he would be a steal based upon his average draft position. For now, he enters as a TE2 in most formats, but he has the potential to re-emerge as a bona fide TE1 sooner rather than later if healthy.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham practices in full

Wed, 07 Sep 2016 18:37:15 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) went through a full practice session Wednesday, Sept. 7.

Fantasy Tip: Graham's status for Week 1 against the Miami Dolphins is looking good, but he is still a rather risky play in most fantasy leagues after a lengthy absence and major injury. Take a wait-and-see approach for a game or two before plugging him back into your active lineup.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham still iffy

Tue, 06 Sep 2016 05:47:07 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) will be pushed in practice this week as if he's going to play in Week 1, but the team isn't sure if he'll play until after he practices this week.

Fantasy Tip: Graham is a midrange TE1 with a lot of risk this season. It's best to sit him out if you own him and play the matchups elsewhere.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham still uncertain for Week 1

Sun, 04 Sep 2016 21:00:53 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) is recovering well, but he remains uncertain for Week 1.

Fantasy Tip: Graham's status for the opener is up in the air, but he shouldn't miss much time, if any. He still has TE1 potential, and he could end up being a great value available in the later rounds.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham practices in pads

Fri, 02 Sep 2016 19:50:15 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) participated in warmups in full pads before the preseason finale Thursday, Sept. 1, and head coach Pete Carroll said Graham "looked great again."

Fantasy Tip: The knee injury Graham is coming back from can't be overlooked, but he has a chance to be a big weapon for a Seattle offense that could lean more on its passing attack this year. He is a high-upside TE2 candidate, and Graham should at least be stashed in all formats.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham fully practices

Wed, 31 Aug 2016 16:11:43 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) was a full participant during practice this week and is considered day-to-day, according to head coach Pete Carroll. Carroll said the team will not know about Graham's status for Week 1 until late next week.

Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to monitor Graham's participation next week to see if he will be ready for the opener. He struggled in his first year with the Seahawks and is coming off a serious knee injury, which makes him a risky option. Owners in most leagues should consider Graham as a No. 2 tight end.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham needs on-field reps

Wed, 31 Aug 2016 05:44:31 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) has looked good in pre-game drills, but he needs to get accustomed to on-field traffic, according to offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell. "He looked great in that pregame," Bevell said. "He was catching the ball and he was really explosive as he was catching it. But that was on air. Now he's out here with what is really the next part of the progression for him. We like what we've seen, but we obviously need to continue to bring that along."

Fantasy Tip: Graham is 29 and coming off a serious injury in the form of a torn patellar tendon. It's fair to question whether we'll ever see the monster he was in New Orleans again. You'll have to use an upper-middle TE1 draft slot to find out.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham gets day to rest

Tue, 23 Aug 2016 18:32:37 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) was given the day off from practice Tuesday, Aug. 23, after what offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell said had been four straight days of good work.

Fantasy Tip: Graham has fallen into TE2 territory on draft day, and isn't a bad late-round fantasy selection to squirrel away, especially if your league uses a flex position. If he can get back to his pre-injury form sooner rather than later, he'll be an absolute steal. Just do not rely upon him as your primary TE.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham uncertain for Week 1

Wed, 17 Aug 2016 14:11:37 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) should see more work on the field over the next few weeks, but head coach Pete Carroll said the team is not sure if Graham will be ready for Week 1. "Really we're shooting for: Where is he at the start of the season? And we'll evaluate then on how much longer it may take, or he may be ready. We don't know that yet. But he feels good," Carroll said.

Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to monitor the situation over the next few weeks to see if Graham will have to miss any regular season games. He will look to be more involved in the passing game this season when he is ready to play and could be a low-end No. 1 tight end in leagues.

Seahawks | Thomas Rawls, Jimmy Graham to sit

Fri, 12 Aug 2016 13:27:45 -0700

Seattle Seahawks RB Thomas Rawls (knee) and TE Jimmy Graham (knee) will not play in the first preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs Saturday, Aug. 13.

Fantasy Tip: Both players recently were activated from the Physically Unable to Perform list and probably will need to participate in some practices before they play in a game. Rawls is expected to be the starting running back this season and should be considered as a No. 2 running back in most leagues. Graham struggled in his first season with Seattle but could be a low-end No. 1 option for owners if he is more involved in the passing game.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham has lost 15 pounds

Wed, 10 Aug 2016 17:21:53 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) said he's dropped 15 pounds since the end of last season, now weighing in at 260. He also said the rehab process is "twice as hard" as practices.

Fantasy Tip: Once one of the game's most dominant players at his position, Graham now finds himself as an intriguing bounce-back candidate after enduring a season-ending injury to cap off a disappointing campaign. However, the former New Orleans Saint could become very valuable again if he could just return to full health. The offense figures to get him more involved if that is the case.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham activated from PUP

Wed, 10 Aug 2016 10:31:01 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) was activated from the active/Physically Unable to Perform list Wednesday, Aug. 10.

Fantasy Tip: Expect him to remain limited in training camp and preseason action. Only eight months removed from surgery, Graham may not be himself in 2016. Coupling the injury with last year's sketchy fantasy offerings, he is a fringe TE1 for brave owners.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham close to a return

Tue, 09 Aug 2016 12:52:28 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) is "right at the edge of getting back," according to head coach Pete Carroll.

Fantasy Tip: Graham's glory days are over, but he'll still be the starting tight end in Seattle as long as he's healthy. Doug Baldwin and Tyler Lockett should see most of the targets from Russell Wilson, but Graham will ideally get more attention in the redzone and near the goal line, which could save his fantasy value. Still, he shouldn't be drafted as a starting fantasy tight end nowadays.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham making progress

Thu, 04 Aug 2016 17:45:25 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) is getting "really close" to coming off the Physically Unable to Perform list, according to head coach Pete Carroll. He's been "pushing really hard" in his efforts to return.

Fantasy Tip: Graham was a big disappointment a year ago, hauling in only 48 balls for 605 yards in 11 games in his first season in Seattle. However, he's a nice bounce-back candidate for 2016, and could potentially offer owners awesome value depending on where he is taken in drafts. At the very least, it looks like he'll open up the season at full health.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham placed on PUP list

Sat, 30 Jul 2016 12:58:12 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) was placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list Saturday, July 30. Head coach Pete Carroll said the Seahawks will assess Graham in four-day segments, adding that he is still in great shape and has not had any setbacks.

Fantasy Tip: Graham should be good to go for the start of the regular season as long as he continues not to suffer any setbacks. His TE1 days could be over, though, and he should be drafted in the low-end TE1 to high-end TE2 range.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham out for start of camp

Thu, 28 Jul 2016 19:34:38 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) will not practice the first day of training camp Saturday, July 30, according to general manager John Schneider.

Fantasy Tip: Graham is expected to be ready for the regular season, and although he is a high-risk, high-reward pick, he is worth the gamble if you can grab him in the later rounds.

Seahawks | Two key Seahawks may start on PUP list

Thu, 28 Jul 2016 15:00:53 -0700

Seattle Seahawks RB Thomas Rawls (ankle) and TE Jimmy Graham (knee) will not practice when training camp begins Saturday, July 30. Both players will be brought along slowly and could begin camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list. They are still both on track to be ready for Week 1 of the regular season, however, according to general manager John Schneider.

Fantasy Tip: Rawls and Graham will be two of the most important storylines for the Seahawks heading into training camp, the preseason and beyond. Although, if they're good to go when the regular season starts, they should still be drafted as a low-end RB1 to high-end RB2 and low-end TE1 to high-end TE2, respectively.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham won't be rushed back

Wed, 20 Jul 2016 23:50:30 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) is recovering from a ruptured right patellar tendon which he suffered Nov. 29. He is expected to be back on the field for the start of the regular season, but he won't be rushed back. Through the first 12 weeks last season he was the team's most targeted player.

Fantasy Tip: If Graham is back to 100 percent healthy, he will once again be a vital cog in the Seattle offense. He got off to a slow start by his standards last season, but might be more comfortable and productive from a fantasy perspective in Year 2, assuming he is healthy.

Seahawks | Pete Carroll confident in players' return

Thu, 16 Jun 2016 14:02:53 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) and RB Thomas Rawls (ankle) should "absolutely" be ready for Week 1 of the regular season, according to head coach Pete Carroll.

Fantasy Tip: Carroll is sounding more confident in Graham's and Rawls' availability for the regular-season opener. Rawls will take over for Marshawn Lynch as Seattle's lead running back this season. He's a low-end RB1 to high-end RB2 option. Graham isn't the same player he used to be, and he's now in TE2 territory after missing five games last year and only scoring twice.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham ready for season's start?

Thu, 26 May 2016 14:59:34 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) might be ready to play in Week 1 of the regular season, according to head coach Pete Carroll. Graham continues to recover from a torn patellar tendon he suffered last season.

Fantasy Tip: Graham's glory days appear to be over, but he still has some gas left in the tank. That being said, an ideally more concerted effort with the running game and Graham's injury push him into the low-end TE1 to high-end TE2 conversation this year.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham making progress

Tue, 26 Apr 2016 19:16:37 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) continues to recover from a torn patellar tendon suffered a game in late November. He has been taking part in the initial stages of the team's official offseason program with two weeks of strength and condition and physical rehabilitation. Head coach Pete Carroll said Tuesday, April 26, that everything is going well. The general team feeling is that Graham will be ready for the season.

Fantasy Tip: Graham is a risky fantasy play heading into 2016. He didn't put up the same kind of numbers we saw from him in New Orleans, and now he is coming off of a major injury. Perhaps for the first time in his career he isn't a surefire Top 5 option at the tight end position on draft day for fantasy owners.

Seahawks | Thomas Rawls, Jimmy Graham on track

Thu, 14 Apr 2016 10:17:24 -0700

Seattle Seahawks RB Thomas Rawls (ankle) and TE Jimmy Graham (knee) are expected to be ready for Week 1, according to general manager John Schneider. Schneider added that both players are at similar stages in their rehabs, and he couldn't identify one as being further along. He said he didn't know if either would play in the preseason. "Right now, their rehab's going well," Schneider said. "We're trying to get them ready for the season. We're not trying to get them ready to play Minnesota in the preseason."

Fantasy Tip: Take this with a grain of salt, especially in Graham's case. A torn patellar tendon is one of the most catastrophic injuries to skill positions, and there aren't a lot of success stories. He's a very risky tight end in the midrange. Rawls could be good to go, and with Marshawn Lynch retiring, he's a solid RB2 in fantasy.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham recovering well

Tue, 22 Mar 2016 19:16:22 -0700

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) continues to do well in his recovery, and head coach Pete Carroll said Tuesday, March 22, that the team is excited to get him back. "We're anticipating that he'll come back and again we hope to have him by the start of the season," Carroll said.

Fantasy Tip: Graham's production was erratic in his first season in Seattle, and it took a while for him to post numbers and fantasy production up to his previous standards. After a major injury he will be a risky fantasy play in 2016, but he also could be one to easily exceed his average draft position if he bounces back and plays to his potential.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham should be ready

Wed, 09 Mar 2016 12:36:56 -0800

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham's (knee) rehabilitation is going well and he is expected to be ready for Week 1 of the regular season.

Fantasy Tip: Graham was having a disappointing first season with the Seahawks before missing the rest of the season with a knee injury. One would expect Graham to better his 2015 numbers, as long as he can stay healthy, and he should be drafted as a starting tight end again.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham progressing

Wed, 24 Feb 2016 13:35:51 -0800

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) is progressing well in his recovery from a torn right patellar tendon, according to general manager John Schneider. Schneider said it's too soon to tell when Graham will be able to return from the injury, however.

Fantasy Tip: There was a good deal of fuss made about Graham's lack of usage last season. He had a good game here and there but nothing like the consistent output he had with the New Orleans Saints. The Seahawks may throw more with Marshawn Lynch gone, as they did later last season when he was injured, which would benefit Graham. He's still somewhat of a risky proposition right now, but should still be considered a TE1.

Panthers | Greg Olsen excels on deep passes

Thu, 04 Feb 2016 10:25:55 -0800

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen has 22 receptions on passes thrown between 15 and 30 yards downfield in 2015 (including playoffs), the most since New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski and former New Orleans Saints TE Jimmy Graham each had 21 in 2011.

Fantasy Tip: Gronkowski was 3-for-3 on such throws in the AFC Championship Game against the Denver Broncos, so Olsen could be primed for a huge day in Super Bowl 50, especially since the Broncos' safeties (T.J. Ward and Darian Stewart) are both battling lower-body injuries. Olsen could easily be the most productive skill-position player on either side on Super Sunday.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham back in Seattle

Fri, 22 Jan 2016 11:41:17 -0800

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) will return to the Seahawks in 2016, according to Seahawks general manager John Schneider.

Fantasy Tip: Graham suffered a scary torn patellar tendon that robs players of their burst, and it might be one of the worst injuries a pass receiver can have. He'll be a midrange TE1 option based on name value, but the risk you'll inherit drafting him is large.

Seahawks | Marshawn Lynch, Jimmy Graham rehabbing

Fri, 11 Dec 2015 16:31:37 -0800

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch (hernia) and TE Jimmy Graham (knee) were both at team headquarters this week rehabbing following their surgeries. Lynch is out again in Week 14 against the Baltimore Ravens, while Graham's season is over. Head coach Pete Carroll said it's too soon to put a timetable on Lynch's return. Carroll said the team expects Graham to be back for the start of next season.

Fantasy Tip: Graham is facing a lengthy rehab from a very serious and debilitating knee injury. He may never again be the same dynamic player he has been, so practice extreme caution when selecting him in 2016 drafts. Lynch ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) may be able to play again before the end of the regular season, but the Seahawks certainly aren't rushing him.

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) is expected to be ready for the 2016 season after surgery to repair a torn patellar tendon. "After the surgery, it typically takes between six and eight weeks for the tendon to heal," an official from the Orthopaedic Trauma Center at the University of California-San Francisco and San Francisco General Hospital said. "During that time, the knee is kept straight in a brace for a majority of the time to allow the repair to heal without stretching out. Once the surgeon has determined that the repair is healed, physical therapy begins in order to regain motion of the knee and strength in the quadriceps."

Fantasy Tip: Graham will be a boom or bust option in 2016. He could either slide in your draft, or he could retain name value for his immense talent. His injury is one of the most difficult to return from as it can rob you of your burst. So he's likely to be a very "buyer beware" option in drafts.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham having surgery

Wed, 02 Dec 2015 12:50:26 -0800

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) is undergoing surgery Wednesday, Dec. 2, to repair the torn patellar tendon in his right knee.

Fantasy Tip: Graham is out for the season, and Luke Willson ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) should take over as the Seahawks' top tight end now. There is value to be had with Willson on FantasyScore right now, but the Minnesota Vikings, Willson's Week 13 opponent, have only allowed four touchdowns to tight ends all year.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham placed on IR

Mon, 30 Nov 2015 15:12:38 -0800

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Monday, Nov. 30, and DT A.J. Francis was signed from the practice squad to the active roster in a corresponding move. Graham had 48 catches for 605 yards and two touchdowns in 11 games this year for Seattle.

Fantasy Tip: Luke Willson is the primary tight end option for Russell Wilson in the absence of Graham, but he'll be too inconsistent to rely on in fantasy. After his monster game in Week 12, Doug Baldwin deserves to be owned now because he'll be more heavily relied on in the passing game.

Fantasy Tip: With Graham down for the count, Luke Willson will be the primary tight end in Seattle again, and Doug Baldwin, Jermaine Kearse and the rest of the receivers will also be called upon to pick up the slack.

Seahawks | Jimmy Graham carted off

Sun, 29 Nov 2015 15:47:24 -0800

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (leg) suffered a lower right leg injury in the fourth quarter of the Week 12 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers and he was carted off after having his leg stabilized.

Fantasy Tip: It appeared Graham might have snapped his lower left leg, but that's speculation at this point. It certainly did not look good, and he is likely to be sidelined a while. Luke Willson will likely see more targets from the tight end position in his absence.
