The New York Jets are trying to build position versatility along the offensive line, so a handful of players lined up at different positions Wednesday, June 12, at minicamp. OGs Willie Colon and Stephen Peterman swapped sides, with Colon working at right guard, and Peterman at left guard. OTs Vladimir Ducasse and Oday Aboushi also shifted sides, with Ducasse playing at left tackle, and Aboushi at right tackle.

OL Jason Smith (undisclosed) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 26, and is probable.

New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan said he does not believe the rotation at left guard during games between OG Matt Slauson and OG Vladimir Ducasse is hurting the chemistry along the offensive line.

New York Jets C Nick Mangold (leg) left the Week 5 game Oct. 8, against the Houston Texans due to an undisclosed leg injury. Mangold walked very gingerly to the cart before being loaded and taken to the locker room for further evaluation. OG Matt Slauson moved to center, with OL Vladimir Ducasse coming on at left guard.

New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan said OG Vladimir Ducasse earned more playing time after doing well in 10 snaps at left guard Week 2. Ryan said Ducasse is not competing for the starting left guard job.

There is speculation the New York Jets could look to trade OG Vladimir Ducasse after awarding the starting left guard spot to OG Matt Slauson.
