Bengals | Brandon LaFell on track to play

Fri, 02 Dec 2016 17:08:51 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 2, and is not on the injury report for Week 13.

Fantasy Tip: LaFell has been the No. 1 receive with A.J. Green out of the lineup but is still not a big factor in the passing game. Owners in all leagues should avoid LaFell this week.

Thu, 01 Dec 2016 11:37:57 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell (knee) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 1.

Fantasy Tip: LaFell will continue to be a starting receiver even though he has not posted great numbers this season. He will receive some targets in the passing game but should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.

Bengals | Brandon LaFell limited

Wed, 30 Nov 2016 16:10:02 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell (knee) was limited during practice Wednesday, Nov. 30.

Fantasy Tip: LaFell did not see his stats improve in Week 12 despite A.J. Green being sidelined. He has not posted more than 38 yards in the last four games and probably should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.

Bengals | Brandon LaFell not on injury report

Fri, 25 Nov 2016 13:40:25 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 25, and is not on the injury report for Week 12.

Fantasy Tip: LaFell will have a bigger role in the passing game with A.J. Green out of the lineup. He has posted more than 50 yards in only two of the last nine games but does have four touchdowns during that span. Owners in most leagues should be able to find better options and can avoid LaFell.

Bengals | Brandon LaFell back at practice

Thu, 24 Nov 2016 19:16:05 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell (knee) returned to practice and was a full participant Thursday, Nov. 24.

Fantasy Tip: LaFell should see an uptick in targets in Week 12 with A.J. Green likely out, but he is a shot-in-the-dark play in DFS games.

Bengals | Brandon LaFell misses practice

Wed, 23 Nov 2016 13:37:01 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 23.

Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to check on LaFell's status later in the week to see if he is in danger of missing Week 12. He should receive more targets with A.J. Green sidelined but has been held to 47 yards in the last three games. He could be a flex option in deeper leagues if he plays, but owners in most leagues should be able to find better options.

Bengals | Brandon LaFell not on injury report

Fri, 18 Nov 2016 14:55:07 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 18, and is not on the injury report for Week 11.

Fantasy Tip: LaFell has been held to two catches for 15 yards in the last two games but did record four touchdowns in the previous three games. He should see a decent amount of targets in Week 11, but owners should be able to find better options to use.

Bengals | Brandon LaFell upgraded to full

Thu, 17 Nov 2016 15:57:40 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell (knee) was a full participant at practice Thursday, Nov. 17.

Fantasy Tip: It doesn't matter how healthy LaFell is, as he's been pretty useless for fantasy teams over the past month. In fact, the 30-year-old wide-out has exceeded 13 receiving yards only once in his last four games, while garnering no more than a pair of targets in each of the last two. Owners should avoid him.

Bengals | Brandon LaFell also limited

Wed, 16 Nov 2016 13:24:05 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell (knee) was limited in practice Wednesday, Nov. 16.

Fantasy Tip: LaFell hasn't done much at all since the return of Tyler Eifert. Most of the offense has been channeled either through the running game, A.J. Green or Eifert. LaFell shouldn't necessarily be dropped just yet, but don't expect the kind of numbers he was producing pre-Eifert.

Bengals | Brandon LaFell does very little

Mon, 14 Nov 2016 21:00:57 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell posted just one catch for nine yards on two targets in the Week 10 game against the New York Giants Monday, Nov. 10.

Fantasy Tip: Before heading to London, LaFell had four touchdowns in three games, but he has just two catches for 15 yards on four targets over the past two outings. He has disappeared from the offensive plan, and fantasy owners can return him to the waiver wire now.

Bengals | Brandon LaFell catches TD pass

Sun, 23 Oct 2016 14:27:15 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell caught four passes for 82 yards and one touchdown against the Cleveland Browns in Week 7.

Fantasy Tip: LaFell has caught four touchdowns in his last three games and has been targeted at least five times in the last four games. He could be a flex option in some deeper leagues because of his touchdown streak but is not a weekly starting option.

Bengals | Brandon LaFell finds the end zone

Sun, 16 Oct 2016 22:20:10 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell had two receptions for 13 yards and a touchdown in the Week 6 game against the New England Patriots. He was targeted five times.

Fantasy Tip: LaFell didn't do much against his former team, but he was able to find the end zone for the third time in two games. He remains more of a low-end WR3 in fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams heading into Week 7 against the Cleveland Browns.

Bengals | Brandon LaFell finds end zone twice

Sun, 09 Oct 2016 21:56:16 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell rolled up eight catches for 68 yards and a pair of touchdowns in Week 5 against the Dallas Cowboys. He was targeted a game-high 11 times.

Fantasy Tip: LaFell has held off rookie Tyler Boyd for the No. 2 job in Cincinnati opposite A.J. Green and he is not showing any signs of relinquishing his hold on the job. He remains a decent WR4 in most fantasy formats.

Bengals | Brandon LaFell yet to lock up job

Wed, 24 Aug 2016 21:27:53 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell (hand) has yet to play in a preseason game due to a hand injury. He and rookie WR Tyler Boyd are considered the top two candidates to start opposite WR A.J. Green. LaFell is likely to play in the preseason game Sunday, Aug. 28, against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Fantasy Tip: LaFell is a veteran receiver who is worth using as a WR4 or flex fantasy play even if he is able to win the starting job opposite Grene. He posted 37 catches for 515 yards with no touchdowns last season in New England, so he isn't spectacular even in a prominent role.

Bengals | Brandon LaFell practicing Sunday

Sun, 21 Aug 2016 13:37:13 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell (hand) participated in practice Sunday, Aug. 21. He caught balls during warmups.

Fantasy Tip: The hand injury isn't as serious as originally thought, but he could be good to go for the regular season opener. Tyler Boyd has looked impressive, though, and could compete with LaFell for the No. 2 wide receiver position.

Bengals | Brandon LaFell may not miss time

Tue, 16 Aug 2016 11:07:18 -0700

Updating a previous report, Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell (hand) is still expected to be ready by Week 1 despite a torn ligament in his hand, according to head coach Marvin Lewis.

Fantasy Tip: Tyler Boyd won't be taking over that No. 2 receiver position just yet. LaFell's status should be monitored leading up to the regular season, but he could actually be somewhat of a value in drafts now if other owners are scared away. Still, don't view him as more than a WR5. He's unproven and in a new offense.

Bengals | Brandon LaFell may need surgery

Tue, 16 Aug 2016 08:47:41 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell (hand) has a torn ligament in his hand, and he could require surgery. The surgery isn't expected to be of the season-ending variety.

Fantasy Tip: His fantasy stock is likely to take a sizeable hit if he's forced to have surgery. Stay tuned for updates on the midrange fantasy receiver.

Bengals | Brandon LaFell stepping up game

Mon, 08 Aug 2016 21:36:16 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell has struggled at times in camp with drops and getting open, but he showed improvement Monday, Aug. 8. Beat writer Geoff Hobson says LaFell has been flashing more and more each practice lately.

Fantasy Tip: LaFell is expected to start opposite A.J. Green, and he could re-emerged as a legitimate WR3/4 or flex option, especially if he is forced to step up his game with teams electing to double Green or concentrate their better cover men on Green and Tyler Eifert.

Bengals | Brandon LaFell ahead of Tyler Boyd

Mon, 08 Aug 2016 13:49:52 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell is listed ahead of rookie WR Tyler Boyd on the Begnals' initial depth chart.

Fantasy Tip: Boyd should still play a nice role in Cincinnati's offense, but at this point he's only a deep flier consideration in standard leagues. LaFell has WR5 value, but A.J. Green and Tyler Eifert, if he's healthy, will be the two main targets in Cincy's passing game again.

Bengals | Depth at receiver for Bengals

Sun, 10 Jul 2016 11:37:24 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals WRs Mario Alford, Jake Kumerow and Brandon Tate were named by director of player personnel Duke Tobin as receivers who can contribute behind WRs A.J. Green, Brandon LaFell and Tyler Boyd.

Fantasy Tip: Tate might be the better bet of the three to have fantasy value with his experience and return ability, but none of them should be regarded as vital additions to fantasy rosters.

Bengals | Brandon LaFell feeling comfortable

Tue, 21 Jun 2016 22:10:16 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell is feeling confident with QB Andy Dalton, and two continue to build rapport. "I've been working with (Dalton) for a little over two months now so we've got the timing down and it's been showing in practice every day," LaFell said Tuesday, June 21.

Fantasy Tip: LaFell failed to find the end zone last season in New England after going off for 74 grabs, 953 yards and seven touchdowns, all career highs, in 2014. He is replacing Marvin Jones in the Cincinnati offense, and will likely be the No. 3 receiver. As such, he is only worth a late-round flier in most fantasy leagues, as he hopes to re-gain his '14 magic.

Bengals | Brandon LaFell picking up offense

Thu, 16 Jun 2016 19:01:18 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell has picked up the offense quickly, QB Andy Dalton said, and LaFell said he is ready to take advantage if defenses double team WR A.J. Green.

Fantasy Tip: LaFell has a chance to open the year as Cincinnati's No. 2 receiver, and he is worth grabbing in the later rounds of drafts in case he runs with the role.

Bengals | Brandon LaFell ready to prove himself

Fri, 01 Apr 2016 18:34:30 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell said his desire to be able to play at a high level after battling injuries in 2015 has been motivation to work hard this offseason.

Fantasy Tip: With Cincinnati looking for a No. 2 receiver, LaFell has some upside. However, he is far from a sure thing, so draft him as a backup and hope for the best.

Bengals | Brandon LaFell contract details

Thu, 31 Mar 2016 13:05:46 -0700

Updating a previous report, Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell's deal is one year in length and has a base value of $2.5 million, including a $1 million signing bonus. He can earn an extra $500,000 for catches, too.

Fantasy Tip: The Bengals had a big need at wide receiver behind A.J. Green, and LaFell could play his way into their No. 2 wide receiver. He has WR3 potential but it's safer to draft him as a WR4.

Bengals | Brandon LaFell may be slot receiver

Wed, 30 Mar 2016 17:27:05 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell likely will spend most of his time as a slot receiver during the 2016 season.

Fantasy Tip: LaFell should receive a lot of playing time as the No. 2 or No. 3 wide receiver for the Bengals and should be targeted often depending on what the team does at the position during the draft. LaFell can be a middle- to late-round option in most leagues.

Bengals | Brandon LaFell joining Bengals

Wed, 30 Mar 2016 13:01:17 -0700

Free-agent WR Brandon LaFell (Patriots) has agreed to an undisclosed deal with the Cincinnati Bengals, according to his agent.

Fantasy Tip: LaFell fills part of the void left by Marvin Jones and Mohamed Sanu. He won't necessarily take over as the Bengals' No. 2 wide receiver right away, but he has a great shot to earn that job considering he'll be competing with the likes of Brandon Tate and James Wright. LaFell could very well wind up as Cincinnati's No. 3 receiving target behind A.J. Green and Tyler Eifert. He has WR3 potential if he can stay healthy and earn the Bengals' No. 2 wide receiver job.

Bengals | Brandon LaFell visiting Bengals

Wed, 16 Mar 2016 07:58:46 -0700

Free-agent WR Brandon LaFell (Patriots) will visit the Cincinnati Bengals.

Fantasy Tip: LaFell had some big performances in New England but has yet to establish himself as a consistent target. He'll be a WR4 with potential for more.

Patriots | Brandon LaFell, Scott Chandler cut

Wed, 02 Mar 2016 13:59:27 -0800

New England Patriots WR Brandon LaFell and TE Scott Chandler were released Wednesday, March 2.

Fantasy Tip: LaFell and Chandler really didn't do a whole lot late last season when the players ahead of them were healthy. LaFell and Chandler both did most of their damage when Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola and Rob Gronkowski were injured. LaFell has more upside than Chandler, but neither guy offers much from a fantasy perspective.

Patriots | Brandon LaFell could be gone

Mon, 25 Jan 2016 12:05:47 -0800

New England Patriots impending free-agent WR Brandon LaFell was the fourth wide receiver on the Patriots' depth chart for the AFC Championship, only played on 33 of 38 snaps and was not targeted. This could spell a LaFell release, in the opinion of ESPNBoston.com's Mike Reiss.

Fantasy Tip: The warning signs seem to point to LaFell not being wanted and/or needed by the Patriots. His future doesn't look too promising when he's not even targeted in the most important game of the season. Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola are New England's top three targets, so LaFell's future there could be non-existent.

Patriots | Tom Brady, Brandon LaFell probable

Fri, 22 Jan 2016 12:55:25 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (ankle) and WR Brandon LaFell (foot) both practiced in full all week and are probable for the AFC Championship against the Denver Broncos Sunday, Jan. 24.

Fantasy Tip: Brady ($8,400, 16.8% of cap) looks like a real nice pick this weekend, even against a strong Broncos defense. He had three touchdowns and almost 300 yards against them in Week 12 while missing Danny Amendola and Julian Edelman. LaFell ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) will be overlooked for a reason; he struggles to do much in the offense when Amendola and Edelman are healthy.

Patriots | Tom Brady, Brandon LaFell practice

Thu, 21 Jan 2016 14:29:14 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (ankle) and WR Brandon LaFell (foot) both practiced in full for the second straight day Thursday, Jan. 21.

Fantasy Tip: Seeing as Brady ($8,400, 16.8% of cap) came close to 300 yards and three touchdowns against the Denver Broncos in Week 12 without most of his offensive firepower, he's a solid daily pick this weekend. LaFell ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) was overshadowed last week with Julian Edelman returning, and LaFell is more of a deep sleeper.

Patriots | Tom Brady, Brandon LaFell practice

Wed, 20 Jan 2016 14:55:48 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (ankle) and WR Brandon LaFell (foot) both practiced in full Wednesday, Jan. 20.

Fantasy Tip: Brady ($8,400, 16.8% of cap) put up 280 yards and three touchdowns with limited weapons against the Denver Broncos earlier this year, so one has to figure he'll be solid yet again with a healthy receiving corps. LaFell ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) had just three catches for six yards last week and will take a back seat with Danny Amendola and Julian Edelman healthy now.

Patriots | Several New England WRs could shine

Tue, 19 Jan 2016 20:10:32 -0800

New England Patriots WRs Danny Amendola, Keshawn Martin and Brandon LaFell each recorded at least two receptions last weekend in the win over the Kansas City Chiefs, but their production combined did not come close to that of WR Julian Edelman or TE Rob Gronkowski. Now they move on to face the Denver Broncos Sunday, Jan. 24.

Fantasy Tip: Amendola ($6,100, 12.2% of cap) shined when Edelman was sidelined, but he is now way overpriced in FantasyScore since his targets will be down. Martin ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) posted 57 yards last week on a pair of grabs, and he might be a nice sleeper at a low price. LaFell ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) is also way overpriced with Edelman and Gronk healthy, and he should be avoided, even with limited options across the board.

Patriots | Brandon LaFell listed as probable

Fri, 15 Jan 2016 13:54:10 -0800

New England Patriots WR Brandon LaFell (foot) fully participated in practice Friday, Jan. 15, and is listed as probable for the divisional round playoff game against the Kansas City Chiefs Saturday, Jan. 16.

Fantasy Tip: LaFell ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) should have a solid role in the passing game against the Chiefs. LaFell could be a cheaper on FantasyScore, but owners may want to consider other options if they are looking for more production.

Patriots | Tom Brady, Brandon LaFell practice fully

Thu, 14 Jan 2016 13:59:14 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (ankle) and WR Brandon LaFell (foot) both were full participants in practice Thursday, Jan. 14.

Fantasy Tip: Brady ($8,800, 17.6% of cap) has been a full participant the last two days now, so he should be good to go versus the Kansas City Chiefs. LaFell ($5,800, 11.6%) should be able to play, too, but his value decreases with the assumption that Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola and Rob Gronkowski are all active.

Patriots | Tom Brady, Brandon LaFell practice

Wed, 13 Jan 2016 15:07:42 -0800

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (ankle) and WR Brandon LaFell (foot) both were full participants in practice Wednesday, Jan. 13.

Fantasy Tip: Brady's ($8,800, 17.6% of cap) injury is concerning, but it shouldn't slow him down enough to be worried. What you should be worried about is the Kansas City Chiefs fearsome pass rush. It's not an ideal matchup for Brady and that weak offensive line. LaFell ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) is a midrange receiving option this weekend, but with Julian Edelman back, LaFell's ceiling is lowered.

Patriots | Brandon LaFell to face Miami

Sun, 03 Jan 2016 08:34:31 -0800

New England Patriots WR Brandon LaFell (foot) is active for Week 17's game against the Miami Dolphins.

Fantasy Tip: LaFell ($4,700, 9.4% of cap) was limited in practice throughout the week and was designated as questionable on the injury report. He should be avoided in FantasyScore this week because he has posted more than 36 yards just once in his last five games.

Patriots | Brandon LaFell listed as questionable

Fri, 01 Jan 2016 15:03:04 -0800

New England Patriots WR Brandon LaFell (foot) was limited during practice Friday, Jan. 1, and is listed as questionable for the Week 17 game against the Miami Dolphins.

Fantasy Tip: LaFell ($4,700, 9.4% of cap) has been limited during practice throughout the week and appears to have a chance to play. He has posted more than 36 yards in only one of his last five games and probably is not a great fantasy option this week.

Patriots | Top three WRs limited for Patriots

Thu, 31 Dec 2015 15:49:55 -0800

New England Patriots WRs Danny Amendola (knee), Julian Edelman (foot) and Brandon LaFell (foot) were limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 31.

Fantasy Tip: Owners will have to monitor the situation over the next few days to see which receivers will be able to play against the Miami Dolphins. LaFell ($4,700, 9.4% of cap) was the only one of the three able to play in Week 16 and was held to one catch. Amendola ($6,600, 13.2% of cap) and Edelman ($7,300, 14.6% of cap) missed the last game and their statuses are uncertain for Week 17.

Patriots | Brandon LaFell, Scott Chandler limited

Wed, 30 Dec 2015 15:03:36 -0800

New England Patriots WR Brandon LaFell (foot) and TE Scott Chandler (knee) were limited in practice Wednesday, Dec. 30.

Fantasy Tip: LaFell ($4,700, 9.4% of cap) hasn't done a lot with the opportunities he's been given, and Chandler has tailed off since Rob Gronkowski returned. Julian Edelman ($7,300, 14.6%) and Danny Amendola ($6,600, 13.2%) were both limited in practice today, but LaFell and Chandler are still risky FantasyScore plays even if Edelman and Amendola are inactive.

Patriots | Brandon LaFell active for Week 16

Sun, 27 Dec 2015 08:55:42 -0800

Confirming a previous report, New England Patriots WR Brandon LaFell (foot) is active for Week 16's game against the New York Jets.

Fantasy Tip: Lafell ($4,700, 9.4% of cap) is a somewhat risky matchup in FantasyScore against the Jets' passing defense, although he could see more targets than usual because Julian Edelman (foot) and Danny Amendola (knee) are both inactive this week. He has yet to record more than five receptions or 66 receiving yards in a game this year, so his upside appears limited.

Patriots | Brandon LaFell expected to play

Sun, 27 Dec 2015 07:37:50 -0800

New England Patriots WR Brandon LaFell (foot) is expected to play in Week 16's game against the New York Jets, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: LaFell ($4,700, 9.4% of cap) was listed as questionable on the injury report despite practicing on a limited basis three times during the week. He has yet to post more than five receptions or 66 receiving yards in any game this season and is a somewhat risky option in FantasyScore today.

Patriots | Two New England receivers questionable

Fri, 25 Dec 2015 13:31:20 -0800

New England Patriots WRs Brandon LaFell (foot) and Danny Amendola (knee) were limited in practice Friday, Dec. 25, and are listed as questionable for the Week 16 game against the New York Jets.

Fantasy Tip: LaFell ($4,700, 9.4% of cap) hasn't caught more than five passes in any game this season and has only topped 66 receiving yards twice. Amendola ($6,600, 13.2% of cap) has more upside, but he also left his last game with the knee injury. There is risk associated with both receivers, but they're attached to a high-powered offense, so there is FantasyScore appeal given the affordable cap hits.

Patriots | Three Pats receivers limited

Thu, 24 Dec 2015 12:46:24 -0800

New England Patriots WRs Danny Amendola (knee), Julian Edelman (foot) and Brandon LaFell (foot) all were limited in practice for the second straight day Thursday, Dec. 24.

Fantasy Tip: Knowing the Patriots, all three will be questionable against the New York Jets. Edelman ($8,000, 16.0% of cap) is probably the least likely to play, so he's the biggest risk. Amendola ($6,600, 13.2% of cap) and LaFell ($4,700, 9.4% of cap) are shaky daily options even if they play, though.

Patriots | Three Pats receivers limited

Wed, 23 Dec 2015 17:14:11 -0800

New England Patriots WRs Danny Amendola (knee), Julian Edelman (foot) and Brandon LaFell (foot) were all limited in practice Wednesday, Dec. 23. Edelman took part after sitting in the walkthrough Tuesday, Dec. 22, which typically means that player isn't in the game plan. Edelman has missed five games with a broken foot.

Fantasy Tip: Edelman ($8,000, 16.0% of cap) is likely to rest up for another week, so don't plan on having him in any lineups. Amendola ($6,600, 13.2% of cap) is questionable, as well, and may be limited even if he does play. LaFell ($4,700, 9.4% of cap) had one of his better games last week and could quietly be an excellent value pick on FantasyScore if both Edelman and Amendola are out in Week 16.

Patriots | Brandon LaFell posts 66 yards

Mon, 23 Nov 2015 22:45:55 -0800

New England Patriots WR Brandon LaFell rolled up four receptions for 66 yards in the Week 11 game against the Buffalo Bills Monday, Nov. 23. He was targeted eight times.

Fantasy Tip: LaFell has yet to find the end zone since making his season debut Oct. 25, but he has been targeted at least six times in each of his five games while totaling 66 or more yards in each of his past three. He is a decent mid-tier FantasyScore option, and worth using as a WR3/4 or flex play in standard leagues, especially with the rest of the receiving corps so banged up.

Patriots | Brandon LaFell shows up

Sun, 08 Nov 2015 15:12:44 -0800

New England Patriots WR Brandon LaFell caught five balls for 102 yards in Week 9 vs. the Washington Redskins. LaFell played his third game of the year.

Fantasy Tip: Fantasy owners have been waiting for him to show signs of life, especially after being plagued by uncharacteristic drops in his return. Still, he's a tough play each week, given Patriots QB Tom Brady's propensity to spread the ball.

Patriots | Tom Brady has confidence in LaFell

Wed, 28 Oct 2015 09:28:31 -0700

New England Patriots WR Brandon LaFell struggled with drops in his season debut last week but played 48 of 68 offensive snaps in the win over the New York Jets. QB Tom Brady continues to have confidence in LaFell, and the receiver should remain a big part of the offense in Week 8 against the Miami Dolphins Thursday, Oct. 29.

Fantasy Tip: LaFell ($4,900, 9.8% of cap) should be fine after struggling in his first game back from injury, and Brady's confidence in him shouldn't be overlooked. LaFell's return will mean less action for Danny Amendola, but he can still have usefulness in deeper leagues. LaFell is a fine value pick coming off a short week.

Patriots | Brandon LaFell benched in return

Mon, 26 Oct 2015 02:24:15 -0700

New England Patriots WR Brandon LaFell (foot) made his season debut against the New York Jets in Week 7, finishing with two catches for 24 yards and six drops on eight targets. He was benched in the second half. "Performance? If I had to give myself a grade, it would be an 'F.' I let the ball get out of my hands too many times," LaFell said. "Tom threw some good balls, I should have caught them. But overall we got the win. I just have to get back to it. We have a short week. Dust the cobwebs off and come back out here and play."

Fantasy Tip: LaFell ($4,300, 8.6% of cap) was more than a little rusty in his debut, and it might not be a bad idea to give him a game or two to work out the kinks before chancing him at FantasyScore.
