Fri, 24 May 2013 10:32:34 -0700 Seattle Seahawks TE Anthony McCoy (Achilles') suffered a torn Achilles' during organized team activities earlier this week, and he has undergone surgery to fix it. He'll be out six to nine months. McCoy had 18 catches for 291 yards and three touchdowns last year. Fantasy Tip: McCoy was involved in two-tight end sets with Zach Miller last year. That task will fall to fifth-round draft pick Luke Wilson now. Miller, in a much-improved offense, should be considered a nice TE2 these days.

He is the first Seahawks tight end to haul in a TD pass since TE John Carlson (now with the Minnesota Vikings) in the 2010 playoffs against the New Orleans Saints. Fantasy Tip: Despite the team-leading numbers in Week 2, McCoy is still not a recommended fantasy play in all but the deepest of leagues heading into Week 3 against the Green Bay Packers.
