Steelers | Antonio Brown in rare company

Tue, 17 Jan 2017 16:01:42 -0800

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown is one of only two receivers in NFL history to achieve four consecutive seasons of at least 100 catches. Former Indianapolis Colts Marvin Harrison is the other.

Fantasy Tip: Not much can be said about Brown's accolades that haven't already been said. He's the best receiver in the league and he proves it year after year. His high volume of catches makes him more valuable in PPR leagues, but he should be the first receiver taken in both PPR and standard leagues.

Steelers | Antonio Brown could be fined

Mon, 16 Jan 2017 13:37:07 -0800

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown may be fined for violating the NFL's social media policy for his post-game live stream in the Steelers' locker room. League policy prohibits players from posting messages on social media 90 minutes before kickoff through post-game interviews.

Fantasy Tip: Other than a possible fine, don't expect harsh repercussions from Brown's post-game gaffe. He's the best receiver in the NFL and should be the first receiver taken in fantasy drafts next season, particularly in PPR leagues.

Steelers | Antonio Brown over 100 yards

Sun, 15 Jan 2017 22:20:09 -0800

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown caught six of his 11 targeted passes for 108 yards, including a long catch of 52 yards, in an 18-16 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Fantasy Tip: Brown is quickly becoming the linchpin of the Steelers' receiving game and is a solid WR1 as long as Ben Roethlisberger remains healthy at quarterback.

Steelers | Antonio Brown may receive lucrative deal

Sun, 15 Jan 2017 10:08:20 -0800

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown may receive a contract extension this offseason that would make him the highest paid receiver in the NFL. The deal could pay him more than the $15 million that Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green receives per season.

Fantasy Tip: Brown has been underpaid over the last few seasons but should receive a lucrative extension at some point this offseason. He has become one of the best receivers in the NFL and will be a No. 1 receiver in all fantasy leagues next season.

Sun, 08 Jan 2017 14:26:21 -0800

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown caught five passes for 124 yards and two touchdowns in the Wild Card playoff game against the Miami Dolphins.

Fantasy Tip: Brown posted at least 100 yards for the first time in seven games but continues to find the end zone. He will continue to be the main factor in the passing game and should be a No. 1 receiver in fantasy leagues next week.

Steelers | Antonio Brown could receive extension

Sun, 08 Jan 2017 08:48:33 -0800

The Pittsburgh Steelers are hoping to work out a long-term deal this offseason with WR Antonio Brown, who is under contract through 2017.

Fantasy Tip: The 28-year-old Brown had 106 receptions for 1,284 yards and 12 touchdowns during the regular season and is arguably the most productive receiver in the league. He should be viewed as a high-end WR1 in all postseason fantasy pools and is worthy of a first-round selection in 2017 seasonal drafts.

Steelers | Antonio Brown will not play in Week 17

Wed, 28 Dec 2016 11:11:05 -0800

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown will not play against the Cleveland Browns in Week 17, according to head coach Mike Tomlin.

Fantasy Tip: Eli Rogers and Cobi Hamilton should receive more targets with Brown not on the field. Rogers is coming off a solid Week 16 performance and can be a low-end No. 3 receiver or a flex option in leagues. Hamilton probably can be avoided in most leagues.

Steelers | Pittsburgh likely to rest key players

Tue, 27 Dec 2016 09:50:08 -0800

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin suggested Tuesday, Dec. 27, that QB Ben Roethlisberger, RB Le'Veon Bell, WR Antonio Brown and C Maurkice Pouncey probably won't play in Week 17 against the Cleveland Browns. "They are guys I'll look hard at protecting and preserving," Tomlin said.

Fantasy Tip: No surprise here, as the Pittsburgh is locked into a No. 3 seed during the AFC playoffs and has nothing to gain regardless of the result. Landry Jones, Fitzgerald Toussaint and Eli Rogers will likely be the Steelers' top offensive weapons this weekend, although Pittsburgh could easily choose to increase DeAngelo Williams' workload since he has seen only one snap since Week 8 following knee surgery. In such a favorable matchup, whomever starts between Toussaint or Williams could be a nice play in DFS.

Steelers | Antonio Brown reaches end zone

Sun, 25 Dec 2016 17:02:09 -0800

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown caught 10 passes for 96 yards and one touchdown against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 16.

Fantasy Tip: Owners were probably disappointed in Brown's stats in the previous three weeks, but he posted a terrific stat line in Week 16. He will be a risky fantasy option in Week 17 because there is a chance that he sits out the game, so owners should monitor the situation.
