Steelers | Antonio Brown sets franchise record

Sun, 14 Dec 2014 14:09:26 -0800

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown hauled in 10 receptions for 123 yards in Week 15 against the Atlanta Falcons. He set a franchise record for catches in a season with 115, eclipsing the previous mark set by Hines Ward back in 2002 (112).

Fantasy Tip: Brown continues to post ridiculous numbers week in and week out. In FantasyScore he comes with a hefty price tag, but rarely does he have a poor week.

Steelers | Antonio Brown has impressive work ethic

Thu, 06 Nov 2014 13:04:20 -0800

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown, who leads the NFL in catches (71) and receiving yards (996), has an incredible work ethic around the team headquarters. Twice a week he'll go to the gym after a full day at the team's facilities. "His work ethic and demeanor and attitude are just unbelievable," QB Ben Roethlisberger said of Brown.

Fantasy Tip: Brown ($8,200) is justifiably the highest-priced receiver at FantasyScore, but he should still be a weekly consideration for your lineups, especially against the weak New York Jets secondary in Week 10.

Steelers | Antonio Brown having amazing year

Tue, 28 Oct 2014 12:59:26 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown leads the NFL with 60 catches and is second in receiving yards with 852 after the first eight weeks of the season. Brown is on pace for 120 catches and 1,704 yards, which would both be team records. He set the team record for receiving yards last year with 1,499. Brown has seven touchdowns, which is just one fewer than he had all of last year. He had 10 catches for 133 yards and two touchdowns in the team's Week 8 win over the Indianapolis Colts.

Fantasy Tip: Brown comes into Week 9 as the most expensive wideout at FantasyScore ($8,000; 16.0% of cap). He'll be facing the Baltimore Ravens. It's a tough matchup, but you can't ignore the amount of targets Brown receives on a weekly basis in this offense.

Steelers | Martavis Bryant emerges as another WR option

Tue, 21 Oct 2014 09:48:08 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Martavis Bryant cut into WR Markus Wheaton's workload in Week 7 against the Houston Texans, and QB Ben Roethlisberger took three "shot" plays down the field to Bryant. The team is unsettled at receiver behind WR Antonio Brown, with WRs Wheaton, Lance Moore and Darrius Heyward-Bey fighting for targets. It was the first game in which Bryant was active this year.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant had a fine showing on Monday night in his first game this year. However, the second and third options behind Brown are hard to predict right now, making them nothing more than risky flex plays based on matchups.

Steelers | Antonio Brown to come up big again?

Fri, 10 Oct 2014 21:38:06 -0700

Fantasy Tip: Even at $8000 (or 16 percent of the salary cap), Brown is a solid play in FantasyScore leagues against Pittsburgh's AFC North rivals.

Steelers | Antonio Brown cleared to return

Thu, 11 Sep 2014 18:35:22 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown (head) passed all tests after being evaluated for a concussion and will return to the team's Week 2 Game Thursday, Sept. 11.

Fantasy Tip: It looks like Brown dodged a bullet and avoided any serious injury. After catching 110 balls last year and opening 2014 with five catches for 116 yards and score, Brown has established himself as one of the more reliable fantasy options at the position.

Steelers | Concussion for Antonio Brown?

Thu, 11 Sep 2014 18:02:04 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown (head) left the team's Week 2 game Thursday, Sept. 11, and is being evaluated for a possible concussion. His return is questionable.

Fantasy Tip: Check back for updates on the exact diagnosis and severity of Brown's injury. If he is forced to miss any time going forward, Markus Wheaton could potentially become a great value pick in FantasyScore in the coming weeks.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown has been fined $8,200 for cleating Cleveland Browns P Spencer Lanning in the face in Sunday's game, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Brown wasn't suspended, so this ruling really has no bearing on his fantasy value. He's still a top-tier fantasy wide receiver.
