New York Giants DE Jason Pierre-Paul (hand) had another surgery on his hand. This procedure is intended to give Pierre-Paul more flexibility in his middle finger, with the hopes that next season he'll be able to wear a modified glove and have some grip strength in his hand. Last season he wore a full-hand club and could not grasp anything with his injured hand.

New York Giants DE Jason Pierre-Paul (finger, hand) said he'd like to finish his career with the Giants after making a successful return from a freak fireworks accident this summer. Pierre-Paul will be a free agent at the end of this year, and his chances of returning are tied to how he plays in the final five games. The Giants have been pleased with his results since his return from injury. He's finally able to practice rushing from a three-point stance with his right hand on the ground. Pierre-Paul is also still wearing a bulky club on his right hand, and he said it's not easy to balance with. He expects to wear the club for the rest of the year.

Pierre-Paul played 46 defensive snaps in his season debut last week and is likely to see his workload increase in Week 10 as he works his way back from injury. He said his hand isn't hurting at all and didn't bother him last week, which is why he thinks he won't have to wear his wrap for much longer. Pierre-Paul said his recovery from a back injury in 2013 was much tougher.

He can earn a maximum of $9.76 million with playing time and sacks incentives. His first half-sack is worth $50,000, and the incentives increase by $50,000 per sack up to 9.5 sacks, which is worth $1 million. He hits an $864,000 trigger at 7.5 sacks. If he records 10 or more sacks, he hits a trigger worth $7.2 million minus the 46-man roster bonuses, which was a maximum of $1.5 million.
