The Atlanta Braves assigned RP Cory Gearrin to the minors Monday, April 2. Ps Robert Fish (elbow), Arodys Vizcaino (elbow) and Anthony Varvaro (pectoral) were all placed on the 15-day disabled list.

Atlanta Braves P Arodys Vizcaino (elbow) is being sidelined with right elbow pain, and an MRI last week showed only inflammation. However, he will be examined by Dr. James Andrews, and the team is calling his condition ulnar neuritis. Vizcaino may need Tommy John surgery.

Updating previous reports, the Baltimore Orioles asked for two of SP Brandon Beachy, SP Mike Minor, SP Randall Delgado, SP Julio Teheran and/or RP Arodys Vizcaino for OF Adam L. Jones. The Braves turned it down.

Atlanta Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez confirmed Tuesday, Aug. 30, that RP Arodys Vizcaino will not be headed to the Arizona Fall League, as he'll have plenty of innings this year, and he'll be busy helping the big club out down the stretch.
