Toronto Blue Jays C Travis d'Arnaud is expected to start the season with Triple-A Las Vegas, and he is expected to remain there for the duration of the year barring any injury to big-league starter C J.P. Arencibia. D'Arnaud was the MVP of the Eastern League with Double-A New Hampshire in 2011.

Updating an ongoing story, ESPNews reports the three-team blockbuster trade involving the Toronto Blue Jays sending SP Roy Halladay to the Philadelphia Phillies has been officially completed. The Blue Jays will send Halladay and $6 million to the Phillies in exchange for SP Kyle Drabek, OF Michael Taylor and C Travis D'Arnaud. The Phillies will send SP Cliff Lee to the Seattle Mariners in exchange for RP Phillippe Aumont, OF Tyson Gillies and RP Juan Carlos Ramirez.
