Four months ago, Suh led a Forbes poll of the most-liked players in the NFL with an appeal score of 71 percent.

"The thing that I think affected him was he played such a power game, grabbing people, slinging them out of the way," Sapp said. "He had rotator cuff surgery. I had one on each shoulder, (so) I kind of know what that's like." Sapp added, "from his first year to his second year, (Suh looked like) he hadn't worked on anything." Suh, who had 10 sacks as a rookie, had just four sacks and 36 tackles this season.

Sat, 31 Dec 2011 16:49:44 -0800 Detroit Lions DL Ndamukong Suh is likely to get a chilly reception from the fans at Lambeau Field for the Week 17 game against the Green Bay Packers. Suh stomped on the arm of Packers OG Evan Dietrich-Smith on Thanksgiving, and was suspended two games. Dietrich-Smith said everyone has moved past the incident. Suh might get a chance to work against Dietrich-Smith again Sunday, Jan. 1. "I haven't thought about it," Suh said. "Like I said, my focus is on the guy who is in front of me. So if he's in front of me, obviously I'll try to go against him, bet him, hopefully get sacks."

"(Suh) wants to do anything he can to help the team," Schwartz said. "I would be surprised if something like that happened again."

Avril said Suh is looking forward to rejoining the team after he serves the final game of his two-game suspension. "He's doing fine," Avril said. There may not be any fallout considering Portland police have no plans to re-open Suh's case. He was not impaired and was cooperative after the car wreck, while his passengers only amended their statements in the days following the incident.

"We are aware of the accident that took place," league spokesman Greg Aiello said, adding that there would not be further comment.
