Fantasy Tip: Fantasy owners whose leagues run through Week 17 should make alternative plans immediately. Dynasty league managers should brace for the worst by preparing to be without Peterson for the beginning of the 2012 season as well. Toby Gerhart filled in more than adequately while AD was unavailable because of a high ankle sprain; if he's available to owners in either situation, they should do what they can to secure his services. If Peterson did tear his ACL but makes a strong recovery and isn't expected to miss much, if any, time in 2012, he won't be the explosive back fans are accustomed to seeing. It's hard to envision AD being worthy of a first-round pick in redraft leagues next season. The results of the MRI should be known on Christmas Day, if not earlier.
