"Very slim that he has any chance of playing," head coach Pete Carroll said. Rice has suffered two concussions in the last three games. He will be replaced in the lineup by WR Ben Obomanu, and WR Golden Tate will see more action.

"So I'm trying to focus on learning the ins and outs of it. I've been watching (Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin) on film and (free-agent WR Brandon Stokley), and trying to figure out what they do."

Seattle Seahawks rookie WR Golden Tate has spent a lot of time buried on the depth chart during training camp, reports Greg Johns, of The Seattle Post-Intelligencer. He didn't even play in the team's last preseason game until the third quarter. Tate said his biggest challenge has been perfecting his routes and timing within the West Coast offense. Head coach Pete Carroll said the team plans to work Tate in more in the team's next preseason game, but it appears Tate will still be gradually worked into the offense despite eye-popping performances on the practice field. Wide receivers coach Kippy Brown said Tate is doing "just fine" and going through the typical rookie learning curve; he added Tate is seeing a lot of work on special teams, too.
