Former Chicago White Sox hitting coach Greg Walker will interview for the same position with the Atlanta Braves and San Diego Padres during the next week. Walker resigned with the White Sox following the end of the season.

Chicago White Sox hitting coach Greg Walker is asking his hitters to go back to basics with their approach, according to Scott Merkin of MLB.com. Their average has plummeted to .193 over the last nine games, with a .259 on-base percentage.

Scot Gregor, of the Daily Herald, reports Chicago White Sox hitting coach Greg Walker said he is not sure what the team's regular lineup will look like. OF Juan Pierre will lead off, and he will be followed by 2B Gordon Beckham, OF Carlos Quentin and 1B Paul Konerko. Walker said 3B Mark Teahen could hit fifth, and he would likely be followed by OF Alex Rios, C A.J. Pierzynski, SS Alexei Ramirez and whoever the team's designated hitter is that day.
