The Baltimore Orioles have agreed to a contract with hitting coach Jim Presley, guaranteeing that five of Buck Showalter's six coaches from 2012 will return in 2013. The lone question now is third-base coach DeMarlo Hale, who has interviewed to be John Gibbons' bench coach in Toronto.

However, Los Angeles Dodgers third base coach Tim Wallach, Baltimore Orioles third base coach DeMarlo Hale, Cleveland Indians bench coach Sandy Alomar Jr., Blue Jays bench coach Don Wakamatsu and Blue Jays third base coach Brian Butterfield are still believed to be in the running.

The Toronto Blue Jays are expected to have Cleveland Indians bench coach Sandy Alomar Jr. and Baltimore Orioles third base coach DeMarlo Hale on their list of managerial candidates. Los Angeles Dodgers third base coach Tim Wallach and former Indians manager Manny Acta are expected to be on the radar, too. Early speculation is that Alomar will be the front-runner for the position.
