The Texas Rangers will have SS Jurickson Profar begin the season at Triple-A Round Rock, with INF Leury Garcia serving as the utility infielder. OF Jim Adduci, C Eli Whiteside and SP Nate Robertson are also heading to Round Rock. P Coty Woods has cleared waivers, and the Rangers are trying to work out a trade with the Colorado Rockies.

Fantasy Tip: Profar will be up eventually this year and is still worth grabbing in the late rounds in mixed formats if you can stash him. He should be owned in every AL-only and keeper league.

USAToday.com reports that the Chicago Cubs have purchased the contracts of Ps John Gaub and Blake Parker from Triple-A Iowa, C Welington Castillo and OF James Adduci from Double-A Tennessee and P Rafael Dolis from Class A Daytona. As a result of being added to the 40-man roster, they are protected from the Rule 5 draft.
