The Houston Astros optioned P Henry Villar to Triple-A Round Rock and reassigned SP Gustavo Chacin, P Ross Wolf, P Jose Valdez, C Carlos Corporan, 2B Anderson Hernandez, IF Oswaldo Navarro, OF J.B. Shuck and SS Tommy Manzella to minor league camp, the Houston Chronicle's Steve Campbell reports. They also designated SP Ryan Rowland-Smith for assignment.

The Houston Astros agreed to terms on one-year contracts with three pitchers Friday, Feb. 11, according to Brian McTaggart of MLB.com. The Astros signed RPs Sergio Escalona ($417,000), Arcenio Leon ($414,000) and Henry Villar ($416,500).

The Houston Astros have agreed to terms with Ps Matt Nevarez and Henry Villar and IF Jose Vallejo, according to The Houston Chronicle's Bernardo Fallas. Each of the three players signed one-year split contracts worth $400,000 if they make the parent club.
