As expected, the Colorado Rockies activated P Alex White by placing him on the 25-man roster Tuesday, Aug. 23. P Edgmer Escalona (shoulder) was placed on the disabled list with a right rotator cuff strain to make room for White.

Colorado Rockies P Edgar Escalona (illness) still hasn't built the strength to participate in a Cactus League game, reports Thomas Harding, of MLB.com. Escalona's spring was delayed when the team wanted to check out what turned out to be a harmless spot on one of his lungs.

Colorado Rockies P Edgar Escalona (illness) has been cleared to return and is expected back some time this weekend, reports The Associated Press. Escalona had X-rays this week for a possible lung infection.
