Wed, 08 May 2013 12:40:11 -0700 The Oakland Athletics released RP Jordan Norberto (elbow) Wednesday, May 8, in order to make room on the roster for 1B Daric Barton. The team will not rule out re-signing Norberto to a minor league deal, though, and Norberto is open to the idea. Norberto resumed throwing two days ago and made 25 throws from 60 feet Wednesday.
Fantasy Tip: Norberto is a nice weapon for any team's bullpen when he's healthy, which is why the A's are considering re-signing him. If they don't, expect another team to take a chance on him when he's ready to pitch in games. Norberto is unlikely to make a fantasy impact this season, though.
